Black Desert Online is predominantly about PvP, it drives the economy, the more engaging PvP modes the better.
So I suggest a Capture the Flag Game mode.
Details of what I'd like to see.
- Large Map
- Open area in the middle
- Either side dynamic and different but balanced
- 2 ways into bases, tunnels etc
- Good rewards
- Towers for range, blind spots for melee
- NPC's for either team to have to clear to mix things up, drop loot, (Spirit Dust for example)
- Beautifully rendered Red and Black Battlefield Flags for either team
- Particular time for Guilds to book and compete
- Cloaking (invisibility) would be unavailable while Flag carrying, potentially
May need to add some ideas.
I think if implemented properly Capture the Flag Game mode would be a lot of fun.
I hope the BDO team can consider this suggestion and the BDO community can get on board with this refreshing idea for a game mode.

It's beyond me that a game so based around PvP does not have more depth to the PvP after so many years. Someone could litery design a game mode like this in a week.

Tying guilds into a new pvp mode sounds like a good direction, but I think having separate lobbies for gvg and random matchmaking would make more sense. I can understand why not everyone finds nodewars appealing. There's a set place, set time, set schedule you're locked into and you have to drop everything else you're doing just to join in. With a simple GvG pvp lobby you can hop on and join a lobby from anywhere in the map. Doesn't matter if you've just finished a rotation in the middle of nowhere, just click a button and you're in.
Anothing thing to think about is AoS. Sure it had some quirks like map specific AP buffs, but so far it's been the most balanced (though not completely perfect) pvp mode so far. Though most of it is due to damage scaling, i think a significant part also has a lot to do with it's separate gear loadout system.

If you make using the objective too punishing then ppl will just ignore it. Als you would need to fix the the DP memers aswell.
instead of ctf make is escort the payload so u dont have to cut the legs off of zoopy classes, dp memes have a place

Yeah a payload mode would be slightly better, on the otherhand stacking into a small area to escort it would lead to being deleted by AOEs.
For bdo the only game modes what really make sense are deathmatch ones.
They could mostlikely do siege ones aswell, but PA is way too lazzy for that.

would be more about how some class are 10x tankier coz class selection screen and mods. i doubt even PA developers would make flag runner enabled to use his movement skills. :D
