PVP: Normalize/Increase time to kill and fix Crowd Control abilities.

The time to kill in this game is not in a good state.  It should be rare that you get one shot and you should never be knocked down/stunned/CC'd and killed from 100% health before you can even make a move.

If you ever played New World the one thing you noticed about the PvP was that the time to kill was pretty spot on. PvP fights felt like they lasted a good length and it never seemed like you completely lost control of a fight because of one move.

A large part of the problem with BDO pvp is how they handle crowd control. I think back to Dark Age of Camelot, a game nearly 20 years old, who handled this way better. If you were hit after being CC'd it reduced the length of the CC or ended it completely. If you CC'd a person again after they had just been CC'd, the length was of the CC was reduced temporarily due to a resistance buff. They understood that when people PvP, they don't want to ever feel like they completely lost control of their character.

I like this, and part of the problem is that soem classes are balanced around it. I hate it when rangers and sorcs an use 100% downsmashes to keep me on the ground all the time, and I hate that in order to kill someone I HAVE to pray my downsmashes go through ebcause for some reason PA designed my class to not have the damage neessary to reliably get a kill otherwise. Its really unhealthy for PvP, and you can see that in how the only people that PvP anymore are the ones that are either out for the daily rewards form AoS and RBF, or are the oens playing the current busted classes(Before PA gets areound to un"balancing" things again).

AoS has a pretty good balancing most of the times (except for some broken classes that could really kill you in one combo) and I think the vast majority of people doing it did it for the fun, not for the rewards (I even forgot about the daily rewards quite often because I didn´t care about them). The issue is the open world or RBF PVP where the gear imbalance is so hugh that basically anything less than 400+ DP is pretty much worthless. In my opinion they should just remove any bonus stats from the AP/DP brackets from PVP and just use the gear numbers as they are. Or at least cut the bonus AP in half.  

About the CCs: I don´t think these are really an issue: First of all: You can build resistance and ignore resistance using crystals, if you choose not to do it you should know how to play your class so you don´t get CC´d. CCs are nothing that is a given, especially not in BDO with all the RNG involved. Except for grabs you can avoid any CC by learning how to play save and even grabs can be avoided with iframes, so you can evade them as well. If you get CC´d all the time you are not playing your class well.

This has been said since the release of renown. The AP and dp from brackets needs to be changed to monster ap and dr. PVP became so broken when we got pri-pen gear, then became even worse with renown. Now with brackets it's even worse. Simply remove brackets from pvp and then start there. Balance in open world can never be good simply because of gear difference, but by increasing time to kill it gives people time to at least try to defend themselves, and allow skillful players to close gaps that the gear causes.

I never quite understood the reason for AP/DP brackets. The growth curve for gear becomes exponetial and the gap is so large between average geared players and highly geared players.

If their objective is to get more people playing their game then you would think they would want to remove the current bad initial impressions that their character is completely worthless in PvP until they invest years into the game.

This would fix so many problems. The dev team is only making things harder for themselves at this point. It would also make it so the upper AP brackets can be made more rewarding since they don't have to think about balancing it for PVP.

Yeah it was pretty balanced, that's why more than half of the players was from 4 classes in the top100....

Hmm interesting, there are 10 classes only in 1st to 3th place in diferent regions, but whatever you say.

Yep it would be a good start, as seen with AoS removing all that extra AP from pvp makes time to kill feel good. One cc screw up isn't game over.

They did not remove "all the extra AP", they simply added a joke gear level with HP buffs.

And you did die in one kd agains a skilled team with voice. Yeah vs noobs you could survive as they don't focus that is true.
