I just found out that the season has ended and my drakania is a normal character now. Understandably a bit confused since the awakening hasn't even been released for it yet, and I knew it was coming soon, AND I knew the season of drakania was extended. So it was extended, but not enough for actually getting to use the drakania's awakening in season of drakania?

Now, apparently foolishly, I was holding off on finishing the winter mountain questline and a couple of the last things in my season pass for when drakania got her awakening, so I wasn't able to claim the season pass rewards, nor was I able to open all of the season boxes which contain the [Season] Prismatic Scale currency, leaving me unable to purchase the +140 failstack which was so appealing. I've heard additionally that there was some way to get an amulet that could be enhanced, but because I wasn't religiously reading the patch notes, I also missed out on that which means I will have no awakening weapon for my Drakania when it finally does arrive.

I am sure people will point out that yes, this information was all out there if you look for it... but you shouldn't *have* to go looking under threat of having things taken away if you don't find out fast enough. The class should be released in a somewhat complete state, and if you mess up and release it when awakening is nowhere near ready, people shouldn't be punished for believing they can wait until awakening is released to do stuff like they can normally. *Players shouldn't need to be extremely clued in to not feel jipped through normal play.* I've been playing casually while waiting for Drakania's awakening and I can assure you, I was not the only one. It's all left an unbelievably sour taste in my mouth. I did pretty much everything in the season, including stockpiling materials ahead of time to enhance the awakening weapon, and now basically feel like I've been cheated out of most of the reason I even did the season to begin with.

They mentiond it in-game and on the website as well that the previous season was extended by a week. The original deadline was a over a week ago. You can also see your challenge rewards when it says May 15 - July 13 (or whatever the dates were) to know when the deadline is. There are other places such as the banner in the season pass that dates it. That date changes if they do extend the deadline. Awakening was also talked about in another post in the announcement which you can see in-game or on the website.

This info was literally everywhere and there was no one to blame but yourself. Whenever maintenance day is coming, you should check what's ending on the announcements. That should be the normal thing to do.

Should've had informed yourself somehow. There was literally information about season ending written black on white on the website. Ignorance is not an excuse.

"Informed yourself"... A fellow player is feeling stressed over the mechanics and clunky progression, and what do we do? Punch them in the gut.

I think the point she's trying to make is a valid one, a lot of these mechanics are arbitrary and clunky. They haven't finished the class yet, so they provide a unusual convoluted ritual to compensate and then bury it in "black and white" on the website. I feel that playing the game is more like work, chores and schedule parsing sometimes.

But more importantly, her complaints are valid, let's not use the "why didn't you read the manual" nonsense! Please.

A good community helps a game succeed. Let's be one, yeah?

Driving away the more casual players who don't camp the website looking for any hint of information isn't a good approach. The idea that "season of drakania" wouldn't end until the drakania was finished being released isn't at all crazy, especially when you see the season is extended. PA should be looking at what players expect and tailoring their approach to that, not expecting them to hunt everything down on the website and punishing them if they don't.

No one has to "camp" the website, but at least maybe give it a look once every two-three days. Espetially, if one wants to keep track on temporary events/seasons. Can you name me any other company that would send an email with an ending event for example? And even during the account transfer players didn't check their own emails for warnings by PA, which were about to get deleted(they were even "spammed"). It's easy to blame the other for for our own inactions, but not easy to open our eyes and blame ourselves for our own procastinations.

I am not going to give any other comment about the drakania awakening. Even I was left disappointed it couldn't come earlier. It's not the end of the world however.

One release of Drakania the devs said that awakening will be late. Because will be diferent and they dont want to rush it.

Also why you think Drakaniq is unfinished??? Succession is completly finished class....

Sometimes I realy wonder what hapens with players. The least obstical is a reason for mental breakdown, info everywhere but yet people are not informed... I read even today how can be that BDO dont give easy info about everithing... and another MMO come to my mind - 85 pages pdf for update. That game would kill that player that was unhapy because had to watch video guide for BDO. Realy people do some involment in what you are doing. If a game is problem I realy wander what is life....

I don't have to look at FFXIV's website not to miss out on events or features.  Many other MMORPGs also do not require you to look at a website often, and much less every 2-3 days.

PA does it, and that's fine. My issue with you is that you so nonchalantly tell this fellow player that it's her fault for not doing something that's this particular game's MO. It's like telling someone that gets cat called that's their fault because they didn't dress "appropriately".

Requiring you to do this is their prerogative, but it does push away casual players or IMO most players who respect their own time.

The game has a lot of great things. But this is not one of them, and it's ok to voice it out without having people like you attack you for doing so.

You didn't have to look on the website to see the season would end on July 13th, because it was also stated in game. Like in the season reward window.

Willow. It doesn't change the fact, Junie could have at least opened a website at least for less than five minutes and have a look, plan what do and decide what to do. I get it. The poster wanted something very much. But why not keeping track of what's going on? There was info. It was ignored. That is the thing I can't understand. One doesn't even have to look at the website daily, let alone watch it 24/7. Or if I knew you, I'd remind you to get whatever you can from the past season. But I see you for the first time on the forums(and obviously left with bad impression).

Do you deny the fact mentioned above? Whatever had happened it already did.

By the way. Next season let it serve as a lesson learned from the previous one. ;)

And yes. Megta also gave you a valid point.

End of discussion on my part.
