I'm surprised by this - and a bit worried. I don't think you guys will stop cranking out seasons and new classes. I've already had to delete a couple characters to even be able to use Marni's Time Piece, as there weren't new slots for Time Pieces added, but if more classes and seasons keep coming, then what do you expect char-capped players to do? Keep deleting characters they've spent a lot of time and money on?

I'm not delusional, I know that the majority of players probably doesn't use all their slots AND spends time and money on all those characters. But for those who do, having to delete characters because of an arbitrary cap is just ridiculous. The already deleted characters weren't lvl 61 or didn't have skill points to match, but it was also 3 outfits wasted, one of them being the way too rarely sold bloody outfit, which for some odd reason cannot even be turned into crons. Poof, gone. Just because no extra slots were released for Marni's Time Piece. 

And now we would have to delete even more if new classes/seasons come out? Why? I have no other characters I could possibily delete. Too much time, money and emotional investment. Or are there not going to be any new classes and seasons? If not then fine. But otherwise, why keep punishing players who've already capped out their character slots? Something by the way, that puts money in your pockets.

I hope they stop making more classes, we already have way more than what we should have.

I don't mind them making more classes, but I think they need a bit more "imagination".  For instance, I am not interested in the newest dragon class as it appears to be just a combo of other classes.  My friend has one and they are not impressed by the fashion armor they released today.  He said, It looks uncomfortable just looking at it. They might as well wrapped her torso in barbed wire and set her on fire. However my friend does like the cape.

I would buy another slot, assuming they came out with something unique.  Necromancer has been suggested; a class able to control a limited number of undead, or summon those slain to fight for them.  Otherwise I am set, I was stopping at seven but then they made the new Balenous upgraded opening.  I ended up making a Valkyrie to play that and I got Grushna the happy ending.

As for more slots, I personally can appreciate being an ALT-oholic myself, but today there was a blurb I read stating, Trial accounts getting one character to level 50 by August 10th are free.  I know this means running more than one account, but it also means you have twice as many slots available, just not on the same account.

The idea is good and I have entertained it myself before, however my current account has seen 6 years of playtime; starting over with a second one is quite a hurdle to be honest. And rewards and stuff would then also be for the second account instead of the main one.

I also think they don't need to make more classes, but plenty of people still want to see all kinds of new classes and gender variations of existing ones like DK. And from a business perspective I get why they would release more. At some point they stated they weren't done pumping out classes for a long time.

I don't mind if they make more classes and/or seasons, but if they then keep the slots at 28... well... I'd feel quite screwed... again....

They once did said the same statment, yet they still increased the slots by 8 since that. Whathewer PA says is totally irrelevant, they lost the credibility of their word years ago.

As for how good business strategy it is, thei revenoue is down since years now. You can't endlessly print new classes and make dem bucks, it's value dimishes with every new class they make.

Well, maybe that after creating so many classes, they will begin to make the current ones evolve beyond awakening and succession. 

It's not like I'm sure it is really a good idea, but that's a possibility. 

Would have been nice had they focused on being able to create any race (human, elf etc) with male or female choice and pick a class like any other sane MMO. There's like what? 19 classes? It's far too many to balance. Imagine a Shai Witch or a Dark Knight (in looks) but able to use a boomerang. There could have been Thicc booberang racing.

Anyway, i don't think it's a permamnet thing. PA is known for going back on their word and pretty quickly too.

I recall Arenanet stated they were done making updates and changes to Guild Wars after they made the sequel in 2012.  Since that time, several updates and changes have been made to their original game, including additional content.  The old phrase "Never say never." applies here too.

I agree, with some minor changes made to the character creator, we could make male / female versions without them needing to add more gender alternates.  I have used the creator to make several versions of male shai.  However the facial hair is not working out 100% to my liking.    The character creator is very flexible but they need to take some restrictions off to allow the user more freedom.  Maybe the reason they make the models restrictive is to prevent the bezerker shai from showing up in the game.  Nothing quite like having a 9 foot tall Shirley Temple wannabe beating the snot out you.  I think Dr. Uno is one of those subterranean shai males, living in the caves near Glish.
