BDO background music is so bad now it's better to just turn it off.

I just started playing BDO again, and was super taken aback by all the music changes.

I agree with the above comments- change it back!

I just got back to the game, the music doesn't make any sense anymore, why change something that didn't need change?

For me personally, a big part of the immersion comes from the music. The new zone music is kind of all over the place and literally gets on my nerves. First time I rode back in Mediah, I thought I had a browser tab playing something over my game, I was so confused it was out of place. I've never felt this way for a game I love so much. It just feel like they broke my nostalgia. Not sure if I'll be able to keep playing. Maybe I'll try to turn lff the music as other suggested in this thread, but then the game feels soulless.

Please add an option to put back classic OST.

Please, PA,

make the music great again.

It's been a year and a half, and my ears still bleed everyday.

The game's soul is lost by how the soundtrack is implemented.

Please add an option to put back classic OST.

I turned the music back on a couple weeks ago, for LOML.  It's ok there, but one can imagine how much better it could have been had they still been using the old music system.

Meanwhile, the inappropriate regional and activity based music continues everywhere else.  There's a little regional flavor left, but it's more diluted.  And there's still ridiculous selections while fishing at Velia Beach.  And chill lifeskill music coming up while in grinding. But that's easier to ignore.

It's not coming back, that much is clear.  It was probably something forced by other technical issues.  Things that should have been separate or separable weren't.  And they didn't want to / weren't able to fix the one while preserving the other.  So they tried to spin it as a positive intentional change.  Just my guess, but it seems to fit.

I mute the musics now and turn on my own playlist.

An option to attribuate whatever music we want from our own music files for each region would be nice ! Since we don't have the default music by region, let us choose whatever music we like PA! Thanks!

Having played Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft, this game's music is just a disappointment. It lacks terriritorial themes, it sounds "muddy" and overall lacks diversity in the incorporation of instruments and composing sytles. Exciting areas do not sound exciting and sombre areas don't feel sombre.

The music scores themselves are generally very very good, PA. It's just the seemingly ad hoc mis-matched delivery of them here, there and everywhere in game since the change that really could do with reverting.

The WORST are Mediah and Valencia and anywhere a theme song (any that were used in the main menu at some point) in my opinion. Valencia especially has what was originally Sand Grain Bazzar's theme playing all over the place.

When you want creepy music, you get something up-beat. When you want calm music, you get a battle track. When you want something to announce your triumphant arrival at Valencia City after crossing the harsh desert, you get the themes that played when you had started your travels.

Everywhere else everything mixes now such that nothing is unique. In Serendia the same types of theme play everywhere such that nothing is distinctive to a place anymore. In LoML this is most evident in the main settlements where the same track plays. You wouldn't be able to tell the settlements apart if you only heard the theme.

I wish they would revert it back.
