Have you ever seen a Korean dev do a good UI ?

BDO has slowly became a gigantic mess, more is sometimes the enemy of good, and the UI is just another example of that. The result is that the gamedesign is a mess, the balance is a mess, the UI is a mess, so is the gamedesign and all of that for a game that basically offers only one thing to do : grinding. Wether you do PvE, Lifeskills or even PvP (because you will need gear), you will repeat the same basic actions for thousands of hour : killing the same non existent AI by thousands while lacking the qualities of a good musou despite the "action combat", or interacting with the same objects ad nauseam, meaning clicking one button like in a mobile game. In the end, in the grand scheme of thing, that's the only thing the game has to offer, the only gamedsign that sticks that PA is able to create. So in a sense, that's almost astonishing to produce such a clutered UI for a game with actually so few variation in its fundamentals proposals.

The saddest part is that said UI actually eats ressources like crazy for nothing.

this is honestly why i stopped playing BDO a few months ago. i have played on and off since launch, and there are things that i enjoy in the game - but i am just really fed up with all the ads that keep popping up trying to push me to the cash shop. i honestly do not think it is possible for anybody to play for even 30 minutes without getting popup add of some kind. and yes, some of them pop up right in the middle of the screen while you are fighting mobs. 

of course those still playing honeslty don't mind it as much as i do, but i just finally got sick of it.

I'd love a way to turn off all pop-ups in the game permanently. But instead, they just keep adding more...

Well that sucks.  I'm not even mad at the concept of the Marniwave.  I kinda like it.  I'm upset that it can't be truly turned off if one desired it.  Plus, it always pops up at the worst part of the screen, making it hard to see.  Even if it's moved, it doesn't save its new position at all.  Changing characters or relogging resets its position.

Major fail, Marni.  Please fix this.  Having a radio to listen to while on horseback is a nice addition.  But with no way to turn it off and keep it off along with the visual noice of the popup completely negates the idea.

Can we get a refund?

I was really hoping to see some update in the patch notes today, but all they did was make it more accessable.

From the patch notes;

Changed the requirements for the "[Marniwave] Marni's Invention" to obtain the Marniwave:
- Before: From Lv. 50
- After: From Lv. 45 

Not cool at all.  I am no programmer, but why can't a developer pop in there and set up an INI file?  Even someone as simple as I, have some knowledge of INI files!!  This would fix a world of hurt.  Until then, I am seriously warning people who ask about it in game chat, Do NOT complete the quest until they fix this thing!

PA: "look at this new thing that we worked on. Isnt it cool? It is and you WILL ENJOY it!"

Just like unskipable cutscenes rookie mistakes from is PA already a billion dollar company?

thought it was a good thing to implement in the game now i'm regretting doing that quest hard ...
UI design and UI item removal save isn't pa forte it seems (yeah i'm talking about that butler that i have to keep turning to 0 each and every time a char relog into the game ... which for some reason still isn't in the known bug list )

Yet another example of why BDO has one of the worst UIs of any game. EVERY UI element needs an option to permanently turn it off

Marniwave is one of the worst yet, Sick of all the pop-ups, been playing this game since launch, pretty sure I am at the end of it now, it's getting unplayable, irritating and basically not fun
