Who else was disappointed when Drakania awakening came out and her dragon flight skill was heavily nerfed from the GL version??
The stronger gravity impact during the skill and the shorter distance that can be traveled with the skill midair because of that just feel wrong!
Her beautiful wings are her signature but being unable to use them properly and dropping like a thrown rock after jumping off a cliff ruins the immersion and the fun this skill could provide.
You can't even properly cross rivers or canyons..
Meanwhile even her succession can travel longer distances midair without gravity impact.
For me personally this change feels so incredibly inconvenient while playing the class. It just feels like something is missing.
I wonder why they decided to nerf it like this.
Maybe a solution to maintain the “original“ lower drop while flying could be to apply the new increased drop only when evading midair (would also make more sense because of the speed loss during turning).
Feel free to comment your opinion on the change or some possible solutions.

I'm currently playing Drak and I will say it is a mess. One of the big selling points is the flying but guess what? You can still take fall damage if you aren't paying attention. I can't tell you how many times I've died to fall damage because I decided to fly somewhere. Unfortunate with succession being gutted for both PVP and PVE you're kind of forced to play awaken if you got jebaited by the flying mechanism they showed on GL.
The things I'd change for both succ/awaken are make Ions easier to get/maintain succession.
As for awakening make it where you get a 30 second no fall damage buff, remove the gravitational pull, reduce the cost flying takes, and increase the flying distance (again this is a big selling point for awaken drak).
It already seems that PA is finished with Drak already so RIP 2022-2022.

Welcome to the club. My class got something like this years ago. We used to be able to use Night Crow in mid-air until our stamina depleted, now, after 3 uses in mid-air, gravity takes over and we fall straight down. Apparently, your class would be "too OP" if she could use her wings like you describe.

If you wanna fly, dont pick dragon lady with wings. Pick prostitue I mean dancer class who can jump :D

Anyone tested the changes to Dragon Flight on GL (19.08. Patch)?
I was so excited when I saw that they change the skill to drop slower again! But the footage I have seen so far seems very underwhelming and disappointing.. like nearly no change at all.
Can anybody confirm this?
I am still hoping for some significant changes that bring the skill closer to the first release version.
