Shai Additional Talent Skills:

 

Shai was release in June 2019 and up to this day the class still feels incomplete. For a class that actually does decent grinding you actually don’t have any use for the remainder skill points that you have available. In this post I would like to discuss possible Shai Abilities that the class needs to have in order for the class to feel complete and for her to be finally considered a FULL SUPPORT class.

Possible Ability # 1

 

Help from the Nature – Shai will be playing her lute to summon 4 Young Dim Tree in a Square formation with her in the middle. The 4-dim tree will be stationary after she stops playing her lute and will remain in place healing allies within 1 meter radius around each Dim Tree and Healing any allies that are inside the Square Dim Tree Formation. Allies that are within 1 meter radius of the Dim tree will be healed 200HP every 2 secs + Talent Gear Score of the caster. Allies that are inside the Square Dim Tree Formation will be healed 500HP + Talent Gear Score of the caster.

 

Casting Time: 2 Seconds

 

Duration: 30 Seconds

 

Cool Down: 60 Seconds

 

 

Possible Ability # 2:

 

Help from the Black Leopard – Shai will play her instrument to Summon the Black Leopard, The Black Leopard will release a loud wild roar causing all allies within 3 meters radius to receive a buff called “Alert”. Alert buff will remain active for 10 seconds during this time all casting actions are ignored for allies affected with the buff (This ability will work just like Witch/Wizards “Sage’s Memory” negating all casting time of abilities during the buff)

 

Casting Time: 3 Seconds

 

Duration: 10 Seconds

 

Cool Down: 5 minutes

 

Max allies affected: 10 (Allies within the same Party/Platoon will be prioritized)

 

 

 

Possible Ability # 3:

 

Help us Mama Bear! – Shai will play her instrument to call help from a giant bear. The Bear will rush forward crashing to enemies in front of the Shai. All enemies within 2 meters of Shai (Cone Range) will be affected by a debuff called “Sleep”. Enemies affected by the Sleep debuff are incapacitated for 10 seconds unless they take another damage. Once an enemy take damage damage Sleep debuff will automatically be negated and the enemy will be able to move again.

 

Casting Time: 1 second

 

Duration of Debuff: 10 seconds. If enemy affected by debuff takes damage debuff will be negated instantaneously

 

Cool Down: 3 Minutes

 

 

 

Possible Talent Ultimate Ability:

 

Calling Mr. Dim Tree – Shai will play her instrument with all her might to summon the Dim Tree. The Dim Tree will appear in front of the Shai resurrecting allies that are dead within 5 meters radius. This ability will work like the med kit or Witch/Wiz Resurrect Ability but in AoE. (Don’t you think it’s time they actually make use of those things again?) Resurrected allies partially recovers their HP and MP, WP, SP and are granted a 5 seconds +100 DP buff. Allies that are alive within 5 meter radius of the Dim Tree receives a 800HP + Talent GS heal for one time and a 5 seconds +100 DP duff

 

Casting Time: 5 seconds

 

Duration: 1 second (Dim Tree providing buffs,heals to allies that are alive and providing resurrection to dead allies)

 

Cool Down: 10 minutes

 

Please let me know what your thoughts are on these proposed skills. Maybe one day Shai will actually become the Support class we all wanted. All constructive critcism are welcome!!

Instead of PA killing shai off , why not do this? To fill in the gaps of active party buffs they removed , since its pretty obvious the PvE nerfs were over the top.

I dont play shai personally but this seems like something they should do to sort out Shai's utility. Knowing her lack of skills and with the heavy nerfs lately why not give her more so shes more easily tunable as you can make what was making a single skill op split over multiple.

If it is op just tune it back without completely removing her from the game like PA has done with other classes. And make sure before it hits live  servers have it on glabs for a while an get shai streamers(shai mains) to test it out with a incentive for it to be tested by there communities.

I think this skill could find some genguine use in large scale and would be a good addition to  shai's bubble skill for the utitily. aspect of the support class.

#1 a semi-permanent AOE heal zone ...... comparing this to continuing to play Shout to the Sky beyond the initial tick to provide continuous AOE heals, which can be interrupted, requires you to do an action, requires you to remain on location, requires you to stay alive... this just feels OP. Also if multiple Shais use it in the same spot good luck killing anyone while they are healing thousands of hp per second.

This ruins NWs. 

#3 you want a new cc that bypasses SA, FG, and resistances?
a) i misunderstood and this is just another cc, except it expires on hit making it the worst unless your plan is to run away
b) i understood and this is an unresistable aoe grab and it's OP in group play


#1 & #4 why complicate things with including her GS in heal calculation instead of just a flat value?

I didn't really read. Upvoted more for the idea of expanded talent.
I agree with you though, especially with heal, we don't need more heals.
