Hmm I was playing at 3840x2160 with like 150% scale and all seemed well (32 inch screen).
Are you sure you have also increased the font size? Click on the small wheel symbol in the top left above the chat window. Set FONT SIZE to "big" or even "huge". It should be well readable now.
Some gaming glasses to protect your eyes from bluelight do also offer a slight zooming effect to bring the screen virtually closer.

Ta, that helps for chat.
Unfortunate that UI text has not changed in size, know a way to do?

Windows DPI scaling doesn't change it? It should. It did for me at least.

Blue light from computer monitors has no effect against our eyesight. This is a scam promoted by optomitrists to upsell you on expensive coating. You can read up on many, many different studies done on this. It's all a lie, gaming glasses included.
use 4k screen
else use resolution closest to 2560/1440
is not good idea to use resolution your screen cant handle
Change your font, It's tolerate.

For people playing BDO on a TV, this one work well even if it don't match up all UI.

You can put any font anywa. Search, find your font of love.
If its more the UI blurryness when thier are at 200 that bother you, Nvidia/amd sharpener can help with that a bit.
BDO remain optimized for 1080p, play with a upscaler will probably will be alway the best solution.

Okay. I guess me feeling a definite difference in eyestrain and headache potential between my good ol HP zr30w / LG3000W LCDs and newer LED monitors is just me being a victim of a secret global optomitrist scam then.

It won't damage your eyes. It might strain them if you stare at it too long but that goes for anything including books. It's irrelevant if there's blue light or not but blue light might make it easier to strain your eyes (but not damage them). They make it seem like you're staring at the sun which I guess may be true if you turn on your phone at 4 in the morning. It's not a secret optomitrist scam, it's pretty well known. Another well known fact about optomitrists is that glasses can cost upwards to $15 to make, perhaps a bit more. The major companies like lenscrafters etc are the ones that provide eye insurance and also own the companies that manufacture the glasses such as oakleys, RL, etc... It's a pretty crazy cycle of money.

There sure is a lot of trash around in the "gaming"/"protective" glasses market , esp cheap China stuff claiming whatever super % wellbeing increment. And yea, their overall usefulness is disputable, depending on source, agreed (but I was more about the magnifying effect of some models here anyways).
However the negative effect of bluelight LEDs is agreed to vary somewhere in between negative impact on sleep only (lighter impact) up to outright damaging the retina (heavy impact).
