3 Things that just don't make sense in arena of solare

arena of solare is very fun gamemode that should get a lot more people into pvp and hopefully grow the community as a whole, there are just a few things that dont make sense when it comes to playing and will turn more and more people away.

1. Season characters not being able to join- since the gear is only in the mode and doesnt acturally effect anything outside of being in the arena it makes no sense to not allow them to play. also a lot of new people (me included) main their season so they dont really have another class they know how to play well enough to do decently in the arena.

2. there needs to be a level cap or brackets- if the game mode is supposed to be all about being on the same playing field it doesnt help that i can go in at lvl 61-62 and be put against lvl 65-66 players who have higher hidden stats and are almost impossible to kill no matter how good i combo them. As of right now every game i play whatever team has higher overall lvls tend to win 90% of the time.

3. last but not least Rewards!- arena of solare should give some type of rewards for each match played. every other activity in the game gives you something even if its small but arena gives you literally nothing for playing unless you happen to be in the top 3 of your class by the end of the season. for the thousands of people playing that is less than 1% getting something so for everyone else its not even worth playing as there is no reward for your time.

really hoping this will start a conversation so maybe a few things get fixed and everyone can enjoy the new content

1. Agreed. There is no reason season characters should not be allowed to participate in the game mode

2. The hidden stats between 60 to 66 are almost entirely irrevelant. It does not prevent anyone from onecomboing or give them any specific advantage.

As example (Warr with no journals, and 30 on Breath, Health, Strength):

a. A level 60 char has the following stats (Left without gear, right with AoS gear)

b. A level 66 has the following stats (Left without gear, right with AoS gear)

As you can see, the difference between the two is almost nonexistent. A level cap makes no sense to implement.

However, what we need is a minimum cap on skill points imo. This is to make sure that players in AoS have all the necessary skills unlocked before they take part in the game. A minimum of 1300 or similar SP ensures that at least the basic skills are all unlocked.

The reason why the "higher level" players have a higher winrate is simply because on average, these players spent a lot more time on that char, learning how to play it, and knowing how to PvP with it, compared to recently new players or rerollers on their level 60 accounts with no time on that char.

3. Absolutely agree on rewards. The current system is almost insulting to every player who enjoys this content and looked forward to playing more PvP in the game, as it basically prevents us from playing the game in any other way, due to progression being impossible in this game mode.

I would really like if they added an ability to have trial characters go into AoS.

If they wanted equalized pvp they need to equalize the skill points too.

Allowing trial chars would be the perfect fit, people can make them and delete them as they want to try new classes in pratice matches.

Also, rewards NEED to be given if they want people to actually play this.

This was deleted by the writer.

Topic 2:
From personal experience I can confirm it is possible to kill a lvl 65 (almost) as fast as a lvl 61, however yeah. They are just very good on their characters since having played them for months/years.

Topic 3:
I have never tried Ranked in Solare since I am new and the ranked "Season" has not yet started since I came into the game. However you get tokens of Solare in the practice matches and I am not sure if they are worth anything.

But I also think getting some silver, combat + skill exp or certain event rewards would optimize doing AOS pvp. Also I think it would get more players interested in doing it. Because it is really fun once you get into it.

:) The post is 2 years old, so theres been some updates. But back then, the only rewards you would get are one time quests per season 3 times for some cron stones. Even the tokens now are hundreds of times more reward than what we had back in the day.

So yea. Rewards for PvP game modes are good, I stand by my opinion.
