Ive been playing this game for around 3 years now and I still dont understand why there is not the hability to hide the exessive amount of AFK players, mounts and ships. What I have in mind that could work is two settings.  This two buttons would hide every iddle players and every iddle vehicles, excluding PVP taged, Guild members, party members and perhaps friend list members if the programing allows it. We all know that the hide players button only works for boss fights, but I think thats not enough. Even if the system allow you to play around so many people, is very anoying for exaple to reach the docks with your ship. The amount of jumping, climbing over the mess of graphic meches mixing all together is unaceptable. Other thing is the amount of iddle horses everywere. Horses inside the buildings, on top of them, covering NPCs is really frustrating not only in gameplay but also aesthetically ridiculous. Whats the point of desingning a beautiful medieval town that is opaqued by this senseless scenery of horse madness. Is like a zombie outbrake but with iddle horses. There are much more horses inside the tavern than inside the stables. Why? Defenetly if the idea of not implementing this issue comes from portrait a very populated game I belive that doesnt help anyone who play it. All Im asking is the option, make it optional for every player and for every sircumstance.

Please let me know what you think of this Idea and let know if you agree or not in the hopes that this may reach the developers.

I wanted an option like this since almost forever.
When I started the game 4 or somehting years ago, towns weren't as pupulated and they really did look nice. I'm not a roleplayer myself, but it really did bring up the immersion, and it really let the game shine with what it actually does good, and that is graphics, and game world in general. It was the first mmo which I played that had times of the day, weather ect. As a new player, this is what actually kept me in the game at the start.
It seems to be really difficult for new players to have that feeling now. Not only does the game immediatelly throw all this pointless info in the overburdened UI right at the start, but also there is too many mounts everywhere. Simply too much new information and new players just start to panic and everything distracts them. I remembered when Velia had a nice view to the sea, and now it looks like a ship graveyard. Floor barely exists anymore, it's just horses absolutely everyhwere. There are elephants on top of houses :I
Eveeryhting clips, and towns stopped being towns but rather just this huge mess of pointless stuff that ruins the experience. What is the point of all those pretty graphics if you can't even properly appreciate them due to the lack of options?
Sorry for the wall of text, and I know I mostly just repeated what you said, but I said it anyway.
I just wanted to say that I agree fully, and really wish for this option too. It would bring back some good memmories that I had at the start of the game.

On one hand, this suggestion does seem like a good idea - being able to hide other players outside of boss fights would help with the lag at storages, and being able to hide mounts would help in those cases where someone parked a wagon or a guild elephant at the storage(or when someone managed to throw their ship on land, again). However, it wouldn't help with the problem you seem to have, of having trouble reaching the storage because of collisions with other players. We still have collisions even when other players aren't being shown, it's quite common to die at Garmoth because other players were invisible obstacles preventing any escape from her AOEs. It also wouldn't change anything about the commonly known problem of idle ships crowding the harbors - same thing, just hiding the ships wouldn't remove the collisions.

The collision issue is a very valid point, specially now with the Nova. One could only hope that the collision code have a variable that let the scrip run. But I have no idea how it works and if the programming allow it without affecting everything else in the game. Maybe the collision does not turn off due to the players are actually  need to make contact with the boss in order to progress the event. On the other hand, the iddle fishing need to be in contact with the body of water or area to resolve its outcome but Im not sure if the collision have anything to do with it. Im hoping that the collission could be turned off along with the display of none actives players, otherwise turning off the display only it would be a nightmare trying to reach the docs with so many ships in the middle now turned invicible. They manage to do it with the player tents, that give me a little hope.
