Help pls, stuck with the crate bug,

I am doing the main storyline and picked up a crate at the castle for the procurement quest, the NPC will not take the crate. I cannot even play now, I deleted the quest, still stuck with the crate, anyway to drop it, destroy it?

Delete the carte item from your inventory. Put in into the trash bin in your inventory.

You have to put the crate on the ground near to the npc. You do this simply by pressing r. Then you talk to the npc using the chat icon.
