Returning Valk after 2 years here. Am level 59, all of my gear is TRI - Ultimate Rocaba set, Witch's Earrings, Outlaw's Rings, Ancient Weapon belt/necklace, Ultimate Rosar Sword/Shield, Ultimate PoP Lancia.

I am attempting to build a tanky Valkyrie based on evasion priority. Is the above gear any good for that purpose? Are tank builds at all viable anymore? What gear should I focus on getting?

Also a returning player but gonna give my 2 cents based what I've been seeing so far.

Pretty much outdated gear. What you can do for now is buy Oasis Gear from Ellie (Tri Boss equivalent) for 1 silver a pop, then work your way towards TET or PEN boss gear. The pure stats you get from the boss gear seems to offset the small amount of evasion you get from rocaba. As for accessories the game just gave out free Capotia accessories, so you can use those. They're pretty much Tri equivalent of Crescent Guardian/Ogre/Basi.

If you're prioritizing Evasion go Leebur, Muskans and focus on Eva accessories, offhand and crystal setup.

Atm with the events going on and the amount of freebies given out, making a couple billions to buy TET boss gear is very doable. You can then Caphras them to lvl 4 to hit brackets, then grind at 230-260 AP zones to work towards PEN or just lifeskill, really up to you.

dont go evasion on valkyrie.

unless u r omega geared (and then some) it simply wont work at all unless u r fighting undergeared people. 

you wont get better advice.

Evasion a dying build. You'll need 1k evasions for enough to make it worth stacking. But than you'll need to sacurfice AP and accuracy to do it which means you'll never be able to kill people around your GS sure they won't kill you but what kind of fight is that? An why evasion is dying is because it so easy to stack 500+ accuracy with 300 AP now a days thanks to all the new accuracy items in the game and the skill addon change gives everyone the ability to debuff player's evasion by 4% which has greatly hurt the evasion meta as well sense your now always suffering from -4% evasion.

So what I'm hearing is that tank Valkyrie isn't viable at all anymore? I don't mind not killing people so long as they can't kill me :)

 I currently have 300 million. Where would you recommend I go with that first?

Like above said, its super hard to build evasion on valk, id just drop the thought. Just buy oasis for 7 silver, then you can build PEN naru and trade those for Narchillian gear, thats like, almost tet boss gear you get for free.
