Active fishing and harpooning has been worthless content for the past 3-4 years. I remember spending 3 hours on coelecanth hotspots with a triple float rod, running over to valencia and trading them in for 130 mil. Guess what if you do that same thing now, you make the same amount of money. This lifeskill is outdated and I feel like even the buffs that are coming from global labs, consolidating the trash items into 1, doubling the prices of all blue and yellow fish, and increasing the amount of seals you get from the imperial trader, will not bring it up to par at all. Life skill mastery for fishing does nothing besides increase the odds for trophy fish, and harpoon fishing, both of which do not get affected by the buffs on global labs. You cant even harpoon off of your carrack, like why is this still something they havent fixed?

Some possible buffs they could give fishing would be:

1. Increase the amount of money you get from imperial fisher based on the amount of fishing mastery you have.

2. Make trophy fish able to be sold to the imperial fish vendor.

3. Overhaul harpooning by making the rare fish worth something instead of spending 5 hours to get 1x100 mil ghost whale.

I am not asking to make fishing feel like something you have to do afk every night, I just want active fishing to be worthwhile in the current state of the game.

May not be what you're looking for but the last global lab update has the price of blue grade or higher prices doubled and blue grade available to be trade into the imperial delivery. They're also changing the trash found too to match the other lifrskillig byproducts.

Other than that I agree, fishing sucks still

These are still pennies not worth wasting our time.

The current mob trash is worth 10-20 times more and the earnings in life skill are the same as 5 years ago.

Also Manos gear it's not free, and cost even more then gear vs monsters.

Every new player can easily get almost end game pen boss gear through the season and Jetina.

While the manos clothes even don't have FS and cron system and manos accessories cost 2 times as much as those vs mobs.
