I agree with the statements others have made, there are different times on contracts for a reason. If they're someone that knows will be busy with stuff in real-life, they could just hop on for a week contract and then have them kicked.

It's as easy as reaching out to that player via Discord and just informing them to return to the Guild when they're active once again.

As someone who runs a New/Returning Player Guild, I constantly have players taking breaks and swapping in and out of my Guild. Kicking someone out for lack of activity doesn't make you a dick, you're just trying to have the best source of income for players who are active and that means removing the inactive players. If they have a good experience, the players returning will always come back to you.

Lots of GMs will never want to kick certain members because they have lots of lifeskill alt and these people allow them to achieve a good guild lifeskill ranking

these players are priceless merchandise for GMs and that's why you see members never logged in for months and never kicked from the guild

they need to rework the whole guild system / payout / ranking and remove the impact of alt on it

But he doesn't want to kick players from the guild, he just wants to have as many apprentice members as possible to have extra large quests and not share guild profits with them at the same time.

Why? Because whole guild system works wrong.

Tell the truth: you want lots of guild members for large quests, but don't want to share the profits with them.

Typical trash guild, I've been to this one before. As soon as i asked where my money I earned for the guild I got kicked out (some people know how money splitting works in guild and that a guild master can create groups for payout where one player gets 100m and the other only gets 1m).

The facts are that this whole system has always been malfunctioning and should be changed. Weekly payout should be removed and guild quests should be personal not for all guild members with personal not guild limit.

Also all guilds should have chance to buy guild house as permanent to make for example a better version of the guild ship.

you should look for info about payouts because you have no clue: tier 10 payout = 10 times tier1. You cannot give as much as you want to some players only. You can only give payout if 30 members and if 10 are online.
The fake XL guilds for guild quests are common because players want rather do 10 quests by themselves than share with others and only do 1 per day if guild is really active. Mercenaries that go into a land guild to do 10 margorias a day was a thing since forever. Those players look for instant money, not payouts.

You encountered some shitty people, i met 2 too: i saw players each being denied billions in guild payout :D And worse, one was selling payouts and getting shady stuff from girls.

The system payout is like you say unfair because of the leeches. That's why this player is asking to select who receives payout and who doesn't. As simple as that. I would approve that idea as some players like you mention don't participate in the effort. But 10 quests in a XL guild... that's not enough. Some guildquests can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Creates a lot of tensions. So your idea can't stand. maybe you are one of those mercenaries i was talking about, being able to do all quests and is happy with 250m daily instead of 750m week when payout.

The guild payout and quest system is simple:
- guild quests: allow as many as they can do and let players choose what quest they want instead of transforming a whole game chat into guild quest chat asking on what chanel is a certain type of quest.
- payout: make payout fully transparent (in a journal tab of guild info) so accountant does not need to stream when doing it. It was a common practice in my guild because in an old one, GM was getting rich (ingame and outside) and receiving favors from girls for payout and no one knew at the time.

you should be able to do payout with any number of members. Small family sized guilds deserve to exist too.
if a player see he is being ripped off, he can just leave.

Depends. i was in a guild were some friends did not want to participate in stuff to bring guild money in... but wanted a payout equal to the ones that were bringing most money in. Do you find that normal?
Apprentice status is a way for player to remain in a guild without getting the payout. It worked quite nicely on mine: contribute and earn your share, apprentice and do whatever, or get kicked.

Guild system is flawed like you say. And Warriors points a good flaw there.
