Hey all,
I have a bit of an issue. My BDO isn't using my graphics card. It's at 200 Mhz or so (3080 Ti @1900ish normally) once I get to the char select screen and beyond.
I've reinstalled Nvidia drivers, reinstaled BDO a few times, did a reg cleaner, checked out the profile in Nvidia control center, manually deleted every thing I can find and I'm still stuck.
I did have Geforce experience on and I noticed it did'nt have an optimization profile but it did have the game listed.
I think where it may have gone wrong is I had non-Steam BDO installed and my gf installed the Steam version and played it(that's where hers is). I totally wiped steam as well.
At this point, im 100% at a loss.
is your display plugged into ur gpu or to your motherboard?
Right into the GPU
How is your CPU doing when you run it? BDO is more cpu heavy than gpu heavy. (Unless you put everything at max)
Like my gpu is also runing at less than 20% at high graphics.
I'm confused with your question, are you saying that the game launches by using your internal video card (Motherboard) instead of your dedicated video card (3080 TI)?
If that's the case, verify that your videocard is disabled in the bios settings so that it can't ever be booted with it. Don't worry, you can reset your bios settings if SHTF one day (like your GPU blows up).
If you rather not deal with this setp then let me ask you another question... What shows up in dxdiag? Is it your 3080 TI?
Let's assume that all is well to this point and you've been playing every other game with your 3080 just fine. When you use the BDO launcher there's a settings button after you login (don't launch the game), click on that and you can select the video card in the drop down.
Now, if it's still not using your 3080 TI then I have no idea what you can do and I doubt it's your videocard drivers that are causing the issue. At that point I'd recommend that you contact support. For the game itself, it's not very optimized so you won't get to run the game as smoothly as other modern games.
Go to ./Users/your _user/Documents/Black Deser/GameOption.txt and set adapter value to 0.
This should set your GPU (or play with the value. For me 0 sets it from integrated GPU to Nvidia GPU).
Also if you don't find your_user/Documents/Black Desert try going to the general Windows Documents folder.
GL I guess. I believe you or anyone else trying can fix this.

Why are you trying to debug someone's problem from 2022? xD
Rezzz me up brooo! Died two years ago, still going strong. BTW the problem (at least for me) was BDO having bad management of AMD multithreaded processors. Limiting BDO process to odd or even threads in Process Lasso solved the low GPU load :) Also: Bdo capped at 60 FPS will never use 3080 ti full load.
