Hey peeps,

I started the new Balenos questline during the past season, but of course chose the simplified questline to not bother myself with the rest of the story, in zones I did quests for, over and over (yes, Serendia, Calpheon and Mediah, I'm looking at you).

I guess it won't be possible to resume it? Are we fated to go through the story on a character with timepiece or out of season to get the full new Balenos questline experience?

Thanks to all of those who know the answer.

Have fun!

Lestaroth

P.S.: Silly PA for doing that sort of thing.^^

If you are out of season, you cannot do the abridged questline, sadly.

Thanks Minarya, but my question was about doing the whole new Balenos questline without doing the other parts of the story.

And yeah, Fughar won't help you skipping, outside of a season^^

I think you will find that you can do it on any character as long as you have previously completed the balenos quest line with any alt. If not just use an old alt to do the magnus.

You can choose to skip the mainquests when you get to the gateway to heidel, so after completing the balenos questline.

Which means you can complete the new balenos questline but don't have to do the serendia, calpheon, and mediah questlines.

I don't believe the OP was referring to the Magnus questline here ^^

I think OP is actually asking quite the opposite of what most people usually ask.
From what I understand, OP did actually start the simplified questline but now want to return and do the entire story either way.

I don't think this is possible though, as once you complete the simplified quests it already gives you all the rewards you would normally obtain from doing the whole story.

So yeah, as you suspected: You could only do it on a different/new character that has not yet done either of the story paths.

Thank you all for trying to find a solution for me.

I guess my words seemed to be a little bit confusing... Let me try again.

First of all I played BDO for a little while now, so it wasn't about skipping main questlines or so, as the simplified questline does it already and yes Nicknero, I guess this round was over for me as soon as I talked to Alustin.

No Chriszo, it's not about the Magnus as Minarya points it, which was delayed for one week. Gee. That said, better have PA perfect it than them discovering a bugged mess with us being stuck and whatever^^; Old and new players will be able to do it (to an extent?)

Wait, Megta, you can talk to Alustin even after completing the Balenos questline?! That would solve my problem. That or creating a character out of season, which doesn't seem very appealing anymore (I did it a few times, not knowing we would have so many of them chaining)... and yes, skip the rest, as a seasonal :p

Hold on, Grumpygreencricket (shoutout to the helpful guides!) states:

ATTENTION:

If you have already completed the Balenos Main Questline too far, you CAN’T accept the Simplified questline. (If you completed “[Balenos] Tiny Nose in Chains” you accidentally went too far.)

If this has happened to you, you can delete your Season Character and start over to obtain the Simplified Main Questline option again. (Support can’t undo quests you’ve already done.)"

tl;dr summary: I can't resume what I began last season and I wouldn't be able to do the whole Balenos questline then pick the simplified questline during seasons.

I guess I'll have to create another side project of a char after the upcoming one (it starts tomorrow!) unless I go for a season where I do it all and I don't want to or I create a char to be deleted after, which is not what I dream of either.

Silly PA...
