Also the aformentioned sale on the character slot coupon ends in 22hours.
So it would be really nice to know prior to servers going live after maintenance.

I know its not a great solution, but it is the solution we have available. If the season char is more important than the old char, then its a good trade off.
If you have an alt that was made before season (which is a given as there were not 28 seasons yet), some of them may be below level 61, with possibly significantly less SP than a new season char could have. Season chars get a lot of freebies as well, which ends up in many cases more effective than a below-61 alt that was only used for storage before. Aka, if you have lower chars that you did not put in much effort on, doing a season speedrun will net you a higher overall outcome in all the fields you mentioned (with exception of energy, though that will restore quickly enough as well). It's simply a matter of priorities. If some people play only for season (which I personally dont understand why they would, but thats their prerogative) then they can decide their priorities as well.
For the last season I removed two "old" alts below lvl 56 and replaced them for two seasonal lvl 61. But now I don't have characters worth removing for season anymore.
I still have 4 slots available (two are needed for the next 2 classes) so I still have two. So I don't have a problem, but I understand that for others it can be a big problem.

There is no point in having a character slot coupon if they don’t plan to increase the slots in the future - whether it spoils or not.

Correct: next slot = next inv slots, weights, outfits.
But they also know that no old player will ever give them a penny anymore.
BDO is a fast grab new players and go away.

I am speechless ,never seen this before. First time they do this with a new season launch,it wasn't bad enough to not be able to use the timepiece,but this,is a whole new level . At first i thought they just forgot to add another slot.Meh anyway.

I DEMAND A NEW CHARACTER SLOT! I'am one of this guys who invest in every character, time, outfit, season pass, inventory and LT. Its absurd to not give us a new slot for new season. I know i'm not alone! Please reconsider this desision to not give us new character slot!

all my characters is part of the family! you can't ask me to delete one of them just to take benefits from new season!
