What is the point of taking the time to store and name Skill Presets if Pearl Abyss keeps wiping them out with random updates?  I understand the arguement that you should know your play preferences, but when experimenting with different builds, changes are not always "logged" and should not have to be with a Preset system in place.  There are not new combat skills being added, and even if there were, we should have the option to change unwanted or deprecated skills if they don't work.  Please stop resetting all skills and presets without at least asking the user if they would like to do so!

Those are not random updates and all of us got a warning weeks ago. Skill points cost of skills are lower now, skill points can be exchanged for more max weight... We were warned that they were going to get reset. And even the presents of addons/skill builds.

Next time better keep yourself informed somehow.

I'd agree with you if this isn't something that we've been warned about for some time. Tons of announcements have been made in-game, Discord and Forums. I'm sure you're in one of the hundreds of Discords for Black Desert (if you're not, now's a good time to join one) and most of the public ones have made announcements reminding players of this update and to screenshot their skills for this reason.

It's not like this happened and you're out of luck, you got Old Moon for three days - small bonus that players didn't really need at all. Also, this helps tons of players out - especially new players. Veterans now get to sink Skill Points into weight increases and Newbies get to get all the skills for their classes much sooner.

Don't let a small inconvenience, that you've been warned about, ruin your experience with the game.

Information was available before the Heidel ball but it became official during the Heidel ball. There were various news posts about this and there were in-game warnings sent by the GMs to everyone. They also mentioned before maintenance that they would give everyone free old moon scroll so you can freely set your skills. Everyone was talking about it and if you're part of a guild, they most likely told you to screenshot everything on the last week.

It was quite literally announced everywhere.

This was made on Oct 5th, but the announcement was already made during Heidel Ball that skills would be reset to accomodate the skill point rework. Sadly it was not included in the Heidel Ball recap notice

You don't understand, he is angry because saved profiles should not be deleted. Last change WILL NOT AFFECT the current profiles in any way. Why did PA do this? After all, they could just give us SP issued. But no they reset everything.

It's no fun when you have to redistribute SP for 24 characters again. And add add-ons again.

Well. I'm just gonna wager a guess and say that teh skill point change did indeed affect both the presets and addons on skills, as otherwise there would be no reason for PA to delete all of that. Might be spaghetti code that caused this to be affected, but in the end, it would have been affected cuz it was done

So what? Add them later, when you see fit, when you're about to play the class you want. Problem solved. (hopefully you took screens of them too. :) )
