... Sorry, but you really seem to be complaining for the sake of it here. And if we listen to you, BDO should be completely dead for YEARS now. 

On the day when melting outfits for crons occurred, BDO's death began and continues to this day. These are the facts. 

Why did they start next season one right after the end of previous? Because they have seen decrease in the number of players.

Pearl Abyss does not make any changes to the game that players want, and even if it does, they do it wrong. 

And Abyss is another example of this.

If I can't use my own items, I have to pay a fortune for fast travel, I can't ship items to Port Ratt and I have to get redundant pen boss gear then this content doesn't exist for me. Period.

First, this entire post sounds like personal issues you have and just looking to complain more than anything. If you think paying that amount is a fortune, you need to grind somewhere else man.

Melting outfits for crons has always been a thing - just became much easier ever since Pearl Abyss went independent and is now putting up outfits for sale far more often.

Doubt the new season started so soon because of "players dying out". No clue why people complaining say this all the time, yet new players are always coming in. It's more likely the new season started so early because of all the complaints of new players not being able to finish season due to the time they started playing - look at the BDO Discord and you'll see tons of new players saying this.

Since 2016 people have been saying BDO is going to die-out with the content being released and other games are going to kill it. Wonder what happened to Blessed Online, ArcheAge: Unchained and New World - the biggest "BDO killers" that are 100% being played by more than 50,000 players!

This update is bringing in something players have been dying for and already multiple people have mentioned returning to the game solely for the fact that you can now fast travel between major cities, paying for this feature with in-game currency is something that's offered in most major MMOs. Take a look at World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy where you have to pay real-players currency to teleport and sometimes just pay an NPC to fly to a location.

I'll just bring my 2 cents about this point, but cron melting was not possible at launch. Still, when it appeared , many players announced the death of BDO and... Sadly, many other are simply too intoxicated by paying shortcuts that it barely has an impact on the long run.

About seasons... Yep, I also think that they quickly launched the next season because players are waiting.

What about - "season" as the default new character mode? <ducks for cover>

Starts on character creation, can opt out, but otherwise keep the same parameters, beneifts, and limits. Only one character at a time in 'season' status. Keep timepiece, separate servers, etc.

The two biggest impacts would be having people at different stages of progress, and not having a definite end date that is well known to all players.  Overall 'season' length per player would be 90 days - ?  Pros & cons with those, but it happens already to some extent.

Probably should be a new thread for this, but is tangentially related to a few comments here about new players and the quick succession of seasons.

eta: Probably need to add a limit to how frequently any account can start a season though.  One every x days, for some x, maybe.
