Fast travel fees exist in every MMORPG. People wanted it, some argued against it saying it would defeat immersion. Well, now there's going to be fast travel because it would be stupid to spend 2hrs to get anywhere with the new expansions. The cost is reasonable I think considering the amount of time it takes to go from Grana to Arehaza. How many minutes do this take? 20mins maybe? Much more if you don't have a T8+. The cost is justifyable from the amount of time you get to save.

Shared storage is fantastic, most of the storage is not being used because who wants to travel so far just to store and retrieve things? They will sell so many storage expansions now that we have more options. We could use precious CP to unlock more storage everywhere but they're precious.

Jetina is fine but you only realistically get 2 armor pieces on discount. It's not "Free" and your time to get the PEN armor through Magnus won't be free either. I don't know what the process is but if you're losing 600mil silver/hour and it takes you 20 hours to complete, it's a pretty expensive "free" armor piece.

Being able to unlock features is the best part about this whole thing, finally progression! I'm hyped, I already unlocked the entire map so I'm just waiting to see what else I need to do.

And the reason why they have a different gear set for magnus is so people don't have to play 800 hours before being allowed to play this content. There are useful features that should be made available to everyone and that's why after level 15 (i think?) you can start the magnus story. This is not an expansion, this is just a collection of neat things for unlocking features and who knows what else.

I'm hyped for this.

Have you played them all because I've been playing around 50 mmo for the last 20 years and none of it cost as much as BDO.

In Cabal I could use it 100 times a day and it would cost me about 1k per one travel not 15m like in BDO. 15m it's robbery.

I'll just bring my 2 cents about this point, but cron melting was not possible at launch. Still, when it appeared , many players announced the death of BDO and... 

Guess when outfits melting appeared in the game.

hate cron melting and any p2w mechanic in the game as much as every other person but get ur facts right, ure off by a year for NAEU's release of cron melting. kr got cron melting well before the date provided as well

Let's be honest, the only real purpose of the Magnus is allowing them to developp the Haso continent content, because they know that only a small part of their total player base engage in sea content, which is quite uninteresting, or even have a boat that could cross the ocean.

Compared to today's standarts, 15million feels like nothing. If this was added before 2018, it would be a fortune.

You can get 15mil in a couple of minutes, tops. If it takes you 20 minutes to travel then you're missing out on 20 minutes of grinding. Let's pretend that you are making 700mil in an hour, how much money are you losing in 20 minutes? Hmmmm You can do it, it's simple math.

Now tell me, how much money did you really lose if you spend 15mil for travel? Oh wait, you didn't lose money, you gained money instead because Time = Money.

But 15mil silver is an extreme example of one end of the world to another. How much does a Epheria Frigate cost? 3.2bn silver. How many times will you have to travel from velia to port ratt before that amount is made back assuming your alternative was fast travel by magnus? Again, simple math! But wait, there's more! Time = Money!

I have played other MMORPGs and have done so since Ultima Online (original release all the way through the shadows exansion which I moved on to everquest). There wasn't fast travel back then. WoW was ultra casual and introduced (i think) fast travel. You pay for the convenience and it's an investment, a business expense if you will. It's an expense just like your 50mil silver item drop buff, or your potions, or your church buffs etc... If you don't want to fast travel it's entirely up to you, the price is reasonable and it is expensive enough to keep the world big.

When I first started playing BDO (beta/initial launch) a complete pearl shop outfit was like 25mil silver. Times have changed.

Starts on character creation, can opt out, but otherwise keep the same parameters, beneifts, and limits. Only one character at a time in 'season' status. Keep timepiece, separate servers, etc.

The two biggest impacts would be having people at different stages of progress, and not having a definite end date that is well known to all players.  Overall 'season' length per player would be 90 days - ?  Pros & cons with those, but it happens already to some extent.

Probably should be a new thread for this, but is tangentially related to a few comments here about new players and the quick succession of seasons.

eta: Probably need to add a limit to how frequently any account can start a season though.  One every x days, for some x, maybe.

I actually think season needs to just be a permanent leveling experience they can keep adding new stuff they think improves that experience as they go. I think its kinda dumb season has a end date because you have people on the fence of trying the game told not ot play it till next season. Starts which is dumb lol
