Season for Existing Characters

So, as a person with every class as of this season, I started wondering if the future may bring a season for existing characters.
My stable of older alts sit mostly un-used primarily because there's not a ton they can do besides LS because of gear limitations. Since Tuvala is kind of the baseline these days, it would be nice to have a way to catch them up.
Has this been discussed or considered? Would people even find it valuable? Just a thought I had.

My own thought on this was that I might do seasons with a duplicate character type just to get the gear for the "permanent" alts, then delete the season character when done. But that still takes an investment of time on the season character and an open character slot to do that.

having the option to reset an existing char to lvl 1 and keeping everything else would be a good compromise if we dont get a char slot w every season imo

Just like Diablo 3 "Season Rebirth" option
Resets a character to level 1, empties inventory, and makes it seasonal.

I started doing this. Created a Ranger for last season. When I used the timepiece, i created another Ranger (yes i like Rangers). After the season was over I deletd the newest one, then recreated her for this season. JUST to have some decent gear for my legion of alts.
