That being said, the update that happened was ok at best. It fixed one problem by causing another, as I said in my post on the rollback, I'd rather wait more time for a way to better impliment it than it being a footnote that was unannounced.

As a composer and editor of songs, I would love more features in the game with more instruments such as and not limited to

- Guitars: 6-string bass, Classical Guitar, Distortion guitar, Lead guitar, or Electric guitar (if possible pedals) :3

- Brass: Tuba, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, and Trombone

- Strings accompaniment: Viola,  (a Better sounding Violin), THE SHAMISEN!!

- Drum Set Needs an Update: Add triangle, chimes, bells, splash, and china cymbals!! Rename the toms properly >.> IE: very low tom, Floor tom. 

Add a section for electrum drums for "beat type" sounds if we make hip-hop/ rap music etc. The basic drumset is not properly equipped.

The Bass and tap sounds are what I'm referring to.

- Vocals need more love!!! Add Harmonica,  oboe, saxophone, and pipe organs.

I do like the idea of a band search option and expanding the party limit from 5 to 10. With 7-10 members you can play any song in bdo. 

The idea of Having a search Bands is a good idea, just have it say "open Band session" along those lines as you mentioned

for other people to see, join and or show up. 

For the love of god, give us more notes pls. I don't care for ranking for musical ability. That's not the issue unless people wanna play songs like Sheppard of fire, free Byrd, and through the fire and flames, then yes add limits but for the people composing, no don't add limits.

we need all the tools possible to compose music :D

Last and most importantly, LET US DYE OUR INSTRUMENTS and give the Shais some band clothes!!!!! :3 

The devs are missing opportunities all over the place.

I would just like to touch on a couple of things regarding the time spent working on music in game and its usefulness to ones character/family and/or guild, as an example, someone who spends their time life skilling slowly increases their proficency at the particular skill they are using, perhaps a reward system might be introduced that could say, unlock more notes available to composers, or something else tangable perhaps if a players song is ranked first for the day they recieve an extra silver payment or some kind of daily reward, this could also be increased for something like a monthly reward, perhaps a VP as an example- one thing I would really love to see is some kind of points going towards the guild I am in as while everyone else is off doing guild fishing and other sorts of quests, I am making music so in effect I actually feel worth less to my guild than someone spending hours fishing even though I am actuallly more productive as a whole.

in regards to the recent patch and rollback
-  add a switch to play songs that were uploaded before a certain epoch with one velocity/effect set but please re-introduce the velocity changes and at the same time, add a mute effect for the piano

I am sure everyone else has said things like
- more notes
- more instruments
- more cowbell

- please make the ensemble interface more intuitive, or even allow the initiator to select the instruments for each person
- please add a solo ensemble option, so I can drop a group of Shai to play a song when needed
- perhaps a dontate button when a Shai or group of Shai are playing a song, to allow players to show their gratitude
- in line with the previous, add a donate button to the album so people can send composers some extra silver for their time

I already sent my feedback to [CM] Jeste after the BDOvision but i guess i could share a bit more stuff i thought off in the mean time.

I will paste this one here again because i think its one of the most important ones for me:
The ensemble playing needs an update really badly: one idea is to make another window that you could invite people in, choose a song in there (or have it chosen before window opens), people in the party can join and you see who picked which instruments. Would be great if you wouldn't need to download the composition beforehand, but if its needed to play (as in devs can't skip the part that people need the comp in the music folder) making a download button in that window so you can download there while picking instruments (that would 1 make it easier to "find" the exact file of the comp and 2 you don't need to prepare before you are invited to play). 
AND
Playing ensemble with your summoned shais, that would solve the problem of playing ensemble with more than 5 shais as well. (This isn't overpowered, you still would need to make more than one shai in your family and level them to 56 and do the talent questline)

I already talked about the velocity samples into techniques and using different techniques at the same time (in the grid) in another thread so not gonna say that again.

I love the simplicity of the composer but we could use features that:

* Change the velocity of all the notes in the composition - like you want all 100 velocity notes become 60 velocity.
* Selecting notes with a ctrl + click or shift + click with the select tool, sometimes the notes are in such places that you can't select the notes without selecting more notes that you don't want to select, makes it super long to move/change the size/change the velocity and techniques of the notes.
* A key combination that allows you to shift the octaves of the selected notes (something like ctrl + arrow down to shift selected notes an octave lower)

* Replicating beginner hand drums into drums would be awesome and would be nice if you could replicate notes into already existing instrument. Something like i would have chords in harp and melody in flute -> I could replicate harp into piano for chords and now i would need to place the melody on my own instead replicating the flute melody also into piano.

A few bug or errors fixes in the composers maybe?
-> Harp techniques minor and major chords were the opossite last time i checked (the minor chord is actually major and major is actually minor xD)

-> When you replicate from begginer guitar (florchestra guitar and i think bass) to some instruments it places it in the wrong octave (one octave higher) dunno if the numbers of the octaves are wrong in the guitars or the opossite, but sometimes it helps in replicating and sometimes you have to shift the whole thing octave lower and because it places it higher it cuts the highest notes that don't fit in the other instruments octaves.

TL;DR Keep improving the composer and other music features (ensamble) and we will be happy LUL

Need to allow change of tempo by measure

Need to allow mass marking of certain notes so we can change velocity on ALL marked notes by label.

For example, "notes marked and tagged as 1 > change all tagged 1 notes velocity to 127" or "tagged 2 notes > change all tagged 2 notes to velocity 120" making one side louder or quieter instead of having to drag and change manually from one screen to another.

3. musician rank B-, B, A, A-, S? SS? SSS?+ note limit increase with each rank.

4. better music album user interface to address some issues:

-A limit to how many songs a user can post daily/weekly/monthly to stop spammers from topping the first page players see when opening the music album. Or a cooldown each time you post a song to prevent spamming.

-Composer profile. I want to choose what players see first when they find me like a "composer's top picks," because the current UI shows the same 3 songs for a whole year and those get a ridiculous amount of plays/downloads even if you don't like them.

5. additional soundfonts for florchestra instruments, but violin above all else. The current violin soundfont is a crime.

6. Mobile music album mode? like a playlist we can play while riding horses, at home, killing mobs, etc... 

7. Tips? let users tip composers in the music album or send them gifts. All of this could be done through the music album.

8. Streaming? Like if someone plays your song in Velia, your play number increases in the music album.

-This could be some sort of new ranking for composers like life skill icons above your toon's head for the most streamed composer during a certain time. Also, each play we get for a song counts as experience % for music as a life skill.

9. dyeable music instruments? or at least allow us to buy skins for instruments... that we can also dye c: 

10. Can shais please blink while playing music? It'd be nice if they had facial expressions showing emotions we could choose or depending on the music bpm, idk. Anything is better than O.O

I find the remixed songs in marni's radio to be welcome change. Especially on areas where music is a bit too tense to listen for multiple hour grind session. 

Expanded music on that would be great. :)

Would really love to see some updates on this system! It is very close to being great! Need more drum options, longer run times, for instance Phonk is a huge aspect to our gaming community streamers content, if we could use trap beats, 808s, high hats, more layering, maybe even distorting options, a long with what OP posted and many of the comments bring, I see a lot of fun and enjoyment happening! 

Just saw BDO Vision and we need more time for playing music so songs don't have to be in multiple parts of 2 and 3! We also need to be able to have more ppl able to join and play in large groups or bands which could be grouped via platoon. 

I asked about these features and from the musician discord was informed of this post by the OP. So happy this covered everything I would like to see! Ty and PA please make the OP's suggestions a reality! ♥
