Black Desert will begin in a moment.

Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

I have been playing this game for more than 5 years. This is my first post.

The Magnus Questline is the most absolutely worst thing I have seen so far, and I am stuck at the "Some Adventurers Grave" quest. I have looked at videos and no matter what I do I cannot pass this quest. 

It was painful to get to here, now I am stuck. I have only cleared two areas.

Waste of time. The stupid games and puzzles are one thing but making a quest this early that seems impossible?

If that one is frustrating you wait til you get to the pirate ship one and End of Tomorrow.

Anyone involved in greenlighting/designing these quests needs to be fired and black balled from the gaming industry as they have no business creating games. Nothing about it was "fun"

Hi,

May be this video will help you out:

Notice that you have to crouch to the quest object and destroy it with your weapon, then pick up the pearl and carry it and place it on the ancient platform while avoiding the red areas.

Otherwise try to choose "Retry" from the escape menu.

Or return to The Magnus (also via the escape menu) and forfeit/re-accept the quest if possible (with the risk of loosing progression for this quest).

If it still don't works for you then try restarting the game...but that would be the last resort.

Idk why people complain so much. A few puzzles were hard lets say tbh but not that crazy. I found the Magnus pretty fun and not that long but maybe thats just me.

For me it was fun and tbh really fun I liked it.

None of these puzzles are actually hard BUT ... As the quesline is riddled with bugs, it makes the whole experience frustrating.

Plus the unskippable cutscenes when entering the Magnus end up being really repetitive once you see them for the third time, cutscenes which have graphical glitches too (my Sage has his kive deployed like in battle mode but still attached to his neck during these scenes, making him look like Flavor Flav from Public Enemy. It's ridiculous and kills any cool factor).

Add the 1 minute cooldown when you want to retry a challenge you failed, and it eventually becomes more of a chore than a real enjoyable game exeprience.

Wait a few minutes after you pick up the core. Then go a bit later (like 4 seconds) after the red lights are gone. It should work

This in particular is silly. There are at least three separate animations on entry, along with two separate loading screens.  All of that should be combined into one smooth animation covering the loading.  The exit is similar.  This also applies to all the puzzle entrance / exits.  The transitions throughout were just hammered in there.

This applies to almost all in-game transitions between various game "modes".  On the other hand, Marni PVE instances and Elvia transitions are not bad at all - although some of the cooldowns are odd.  Technical reasons for that, I suppose.

Ideally all transitions should be like walking through the open world, expecially when there are nominal geographical associations such as dropping into a well.  And then there is the Magnus itself, which basically just operates as one big clumsy menu where you have to run from item to item.  That, combined with needing to travel to and from entrances and exits, gets old very quickly.  It may take more time to ride through the world, but at least there's scenery.

For scenery, the exit / entrance animations should have region specific images and sounds.  If you have to have them at all.

Some of the concepts are interesting, but clumsy in execution. And it doesn't need to be instanced.  Would be interesting to see people moving from place to place.  And maybe put something in there to make it more than just passing through, considering the effort it takes both to open it up and then for each visit. 

They could have just linked the storages without an elaborate attempt to make it part of a story, one that doesn't fit the world anyway.  Puzzles as hurdles to achieve a reward - ok. That's more optional.  One more class skill? Small quest line like for awakening or succession.

Puzzles: leaving aside bugs, as other have noted, they are more tedious than difficult. And, in keeping with this game's character, some RNG / luck.  Just a little.  Every puzzle path - maybe challenge is a better word - should have included alternatives that could fit a BDO player's game style: combat, lifeskill.  Some of the challenges have nothing to do with either. Some just tested basic gaming skills - move along this narrow path without falling off - which is at the same time insulting and easy to screw up (for me).

I don't know, just impressions. But all of that is behind me now. Kind of a "wtf was that" blip in the gameplay.

But hey, good news - you can repeat all the puzzles on each character if you want! And here's the weird part - I'm tempted...
