Since I started playing BDO a few years ago, I was more into the close combat classes (sword, axe, martial art, etc). Somehow ranged combat classes (bow, magic staff, etc) didn't interest me enough to try out. With every new class released it was mostly close combat based and at that time more interesting for me. I honestly never looked more in depth to the some what older classes. Since the Seasonal content released (perfect for trying out classes), certainly I was out of choices and began to explore the ranged combat classes. Started with Sage, then Archer, then Drakania (of course), she was an exception to ranged combat but for me a must have, after that Witch and last but not least Ranger (non-seasonal).

Although the Ranger class never got my attention I was curious at some point and decided to try her out (via Trial Characters). Actually the Archer class was not satisfying me as a whole so when exploring the Ranger it was very exciting and fun because of the fact that she uses a bow as main and a sword as awakening, a great and almost perfect combination for me. I got a great feeling with the skill mechanics and overall gameplay. The most excited part is that her main weapon is fairly strong in my opinion, in relation with my other classes. So combo's between mainhand and awakening is a blast. Of course the recent class balance and skill reset makes this part a lot fortunate. But anyhow, I regret the fact that I haven't played the Ranger much sooner.

So yeah, the Ranger surely has cons & pro's which I've already discovered and yet have to discover. But I think every class has it's weakness and strongness, as intended I guess.

I thought the big downside was the fact that lack of stamina and/or MP regeneration would kill the fun but nonetheless, if you know/learn the right tactics to overcome.

Even from the strategic point of view I think the Ranger is very fun to play and does enough damage to grind/combat in higher level regions.

Well, just a very refreshing and positive BDO experience to share with ya folks. Thought it was worth to mention especially for the ones who play Ranger and for the ones that still hesitate to play Ranger.
