Not sure if it was mentioned here in the comments, but I would like to point out an issue with bartering that is imo far more important than storage access etc: it's not worth it anymore. I used to be able to make decent money bartering, but then the new spots came out, old spots were buffed, and even average players are able to easly get a bilion in an hour of grinding. Same goes for gathering, with recent agris fever for them, and probably many other activities, but bartering stays at the same fixed daily income, which quickly becomes negligible:
1. It takes about 2 hours to finish a barter list, which then nets around 150 mil if you are lucky
2. It's time gated for 5 hours
3. Then it's limited daily to two lists / three with pay to win (which is not even a win, for another 150 mil in 2h)
I know it's a semi-afk activity so we can't expect income on active playing level, but 150 mil is money you can make with 5-10 minutes of imperial cooking or farming. Maybe remove cooldown and daily limit at least?
Sailors should be able to repair your ship if you have the repair parts in your ships inventory.

I agree.
Actually, my first post mentionned bartering items to be lighter but that's all. I even changed it after Luckywind's comment to change only level 1 bartering items' weight. But that's true, bartering is long and not an afk lifeskill, sometimes semi afk but then it takes much time anyway so it's not that much interesting. Also, levelling up in bartering is extra slow.
I edit my post.
Sailors should be able to repair your ship if you have the repair parts in your ships inventory.
My first post mentionned that too. But then again, to prevent unbalanced pvp as Luckywind pointed it, I only took in consideration the possibility of instant repairing the ship, out of wheel.
I'd like to have more sailors opinions about that point...
Thank you guys for your comments.
Now, you already gain sailing exp near the coast, even though it is slower than in the open sea, the same way we gain more training xp when it's out of safe zones with our horses.
Is that true? It was going to be my suggestion, to allow sailing a large ship on the inner seas to give sailing experience at a lower rate than margoria sailing. I thought it was currently zero sailing exp on the inner seas (inner meaning where map works without compass).

And you are right, I never got sailing exp for sailing "near the shore", exp is only for margoria. But there is one exception: random event can give us such exp (you know what i mean: sailors lost stamina, gained stamina, sailors caught fish, seagulls ate fish).

Yeah, I gained myself sailing xp and even showed it while streaming with friends. It's slow but you gain xp by maneuvering yourself, not auto-road.
The times I gained the most was while shooting mobs or ships, because of the maneuvers made while fighting.
I even upgraded several times in those waters! ;)

Wrong, I gained sailing xp while moving among islands, on shallow waters.
But again, it is slow and some boost would be welcome. Compared to another lifeskill like fishing - after its last boost - you gain nothing...
Now, if you only go straight, you get nothing either. It's really about maneuvering.

It has to be so little that it is imperceptible, especially at the artisan level and beyond.
The only times I've seen an increase are the mentioned random events and when killing smh.
On Margoria with very strong wind gets 0.01%.
Well I have to say, I gained my Apprentice levels on shallow waters. That's why I know you gain xp on it.
But that's true, it's really slow.
But... everything is slow about sea... too slow.
I wouldn't mind about a few things if half of my post was taken in consideration at least.
Wait and see...
Are you sure you're not talking about sailors picking up "Secret Sailing Book" while you're cruising around near the shore? Those are what give you sailing exp. I've never noticed getting sailing exp just from cruising around in the non-compass sea.

I gained levels while fighting, sailors had nothing to do with that.
It had nothing to do with the fight but with the manoevering during it.
So yes, I'm sure. ;)
