I will repeat especially for you: "pvp" players in bdo DO NOT WANT pvp (in mobs zones). If they wanted to, they would play on Arsha. And they don't play. They're just sitting in marni which were created specifically for pve players.

Pretty ironic, isn't it?  It's like the pirates who cry for boat pvp yet they don't go on arsha, all they do is sink afk people and people who can't fight back.

Projecting much?  We do play on Arsha, but people that are in mob zones on Arsha don't want to PvP, in fact they cry harder than anywhere else when you kill them on Arsha.

Because they are there only for the additional 50% drop rate, which is a bonus that doesn't change anything anyway.

Let's ask ourselves a simple question: does pvp between mobs make sense at all?

Pve players don't want this kind of pvp.
"Pvp" players also don't want it because they are only interested in effective grinding, and pvp wastes their time, so they only want open pvp for one purpose: to defend their grind.

PA reconciled both groups by giving us marni. The only problem is that marni is still limited, does not include all zones, and does not solve the issue of unjustified attacks on life skills players.

BDO has a lot of modes dedicated to pvp and open pvp in zones with mobs does not fit this at all.

Conclusion: only pve only channels can solve the problem completely (and unlimited marni or modified in the style of agris poins, i.e. a given amount of time per day, but without waiting every hour for an hour).

I have read many options to helping people life skilling, I also remember you shooting down every single one of them unless you suggested it in that thread.  I have also seen you tear apart a suggestion you made a week later that was written out almost word for word.

I love PvP, and I can assure you the only people against a PvE only server are griefers. People who enjoy active PvP against somebody willing already have multiple of outlets to do so in this game. The reason some PvP players are against it is because many PvE players would move to the PvE only server, and they'd no longer be able to grief them.

Nothing you say will make them happy, so might as well let them scream into the void. The game already caters to both crowds separately, and people who want to actively participate in free open world PvP already have dedicated servers just for them and are allowed to flag up on every other normal server. But griefers don't want *real* PvP, they want to prey on people who don't want to fight back.

Nobody active on Arsha is saying "no" to a PvE only server.

I was not a big fan of a pve only server either, but it would be better than eliminating all one sided guild deccs.  Ironically, had not the anti pve extremists fought this idea so hard, they might be happier with the state of the game today.  Too many wrongly and subbornly insisted that pvp is THE FOCUS of BDO, when it isn't and never was.  A form of karma, I guess, but sad it came to such extreme measures.

You shoudn't assure something like that. You're talking about PvP players, players active on Arsha, but you don't even care about PvPvE players.

Arsha have no rule, its owpvp is FFA. That's one kind of setting, but not the kind of setting PA boasted about when the game launched, it promoted a system with rules, karma, penalties.

Arsha is a nonsense, if one really wants to purely pvp, why would he choose this server, over the pvp modes? It acts like a pure band-aids, and never brought a solution despite being in the game for YEARS.

So, if a player is looking for an owpvp with rules (because, remember, rules are what makes a "game", to begin with), he left with an half assed system which makes pk meaningless (yes, truly, now it has no sense because you can't even use it to defend a spot without talking all the risks, while your opponent takes literally no risk) and even actively promotes ksing.

For sure, if you remove any reason to use pk, then it becomes always meaningless to do it and can only be used for griefing. But that's logical.

- rules are what makes a game. If you choose bdo for its owpvp with rules, Arsha can't be a solution

- BDO PvE is designed with the possibility of being engaged in pvp at every moment. Remove owpvp, and you end up with a repetitive grind, in circles. Wait, isn't that another flaw that players are pointing when they talk about BDO? Well, let's connect the dots...

- I'm not sure BDO can afford to seperate its population even more. Channels, Marni, so many grind spots...

- for owpvp, you need people. Above all on this huge map

- if a pvpve player thinks he can make more money in a pure pve setting, he'll do it. Why would he hinder his own progression, above all if he has a really good gear? And that's how you would remove even players who can pvp and are ok with that : it's called bribery.

- You need more ressources and time to maintain different settings, while the initial idea of BDO is pvpve.

- by giving pve players what they want, devs would open the door to many other requests. Again, time, ressources, wasted but why would players stop with their requests, if the Pandora's box had already been opened?

- and it would generate more discontentment from players with absurd requests.

Yeah sure, no reason, no argument, we only want to grief... Sure sure sure...

If i want to grief I would not PK him, rather I would just destroy his rotation and refuse to leave, because I know he can't do anything. What u want more DFS is dead, OW pvp is dead, soon they will add crystal protection after alt C and remove black robe npc...

Where cons? Removing toxic and unwanted pvp is good for the game.

Pseudo pvp players in bdo want pvp in which they have a gun and you have a stick. It's logical that the owners of the sticks will not take part in such pvp and are against it.

If I want to play pvp, I'll play Battlefield where both me and my opponent have the same weapon.
