Also that shield spell needs it's cool down nerfed from 5 mins to like 60 seconds cause that skill is quite useful in party and idk how many times it saved me at nightmare karkanda

I think this is largely due to the fact that she hasn't been getting enough attention / forgotten she exists with new content updates, such as weapons and high-end grinding zones and succession releases.

 

Not having any main damage skills in talent and not getting a succession treatment for having almost all damage skills on mainhand now puts us at a spot where we are lacking over 100 ap compared to other classes.

 

This starts to matter with mobs that have high dr like all mobs in the hadum spots, we simply can't grind effectively.

 

The reason for this?

I'm assuming none of the developers main Shai or tested her there so this issue wasn't known until now :c

Actually, this issue was self-evident since launch because Mirumoks always has had mobs with high DR. The reason Shai's Florang dmg was not increased was that the developers felt the class already performed admirably in Sycraia and had powerful buffs which would ensure her group membership. The fact that she was quickly integrated into Siege was further evidence of this idea that she would be okay. Unfortunately, the game did progress quickly with the release of succession, and the small nerfs shai suffered early on swiftly put her behind the pack. She remained in this state because while Shai did not bring the most damage, she still had an unmatched level of survivability and potential for boosting others. 

 

I would like to say that the story ended there and we are only a short way behind but that that is not the case. A lot of class homogenization came with the rebalancing of pvp dmg values between classes, which saw shai get left mostly untouched. However, we also experienced the standardization of addons into ranks T1-T3. In this change shai was left with only T1 and T2 addons but something the developers failed to take note of when during the process was that shai had massive healing before this change, she was designed to get most of her healing from her addons and not through her innate skills. Afterward, her survivability which had been the bulwark of the class began to crack and crumble. Her large HP pool and ability to refill it via attacks are mostly gone and the class remains little more than a visage of her past potential. Bug fixes like Pocket Haze have not helped and indeed we witnessed her promised seat of power as the group support character get brought into question. She is now struggling to hold on in almost every aspect of the game because she has scaling issues in pve, cannot defend herself in PVP, and has no way to ensure her survivability -anywhere- other than out gearing content and players. Which it should be noted that Enemy Player AP DMG vastly outpaces the damage reduction available to Shais from gear alone. Monsters can still be survived but the shai will have to put in two hours for every one hour than any other player or class invests when grinding premier locations such as ash forest.

 

We need heals to return to our Florang, we need damage scaling to allow us to pve, and we could use the damage restriction in PVP removed so that we will be able to defend ourselves to the bitter and likely end. I say this because the shai lacks the mobility to escape an enemy in a 1v1. So then we should either be given the right to flee or survive or fight. Given how the class plays, the latter two options seem the most appropriate. Let us rise and shine but also consider ways of making shai better when cooperating with one another. Shai community has always been a strong strength for the class. I would love to see it organized in a way that encouraged Shais to gather around together and do it better. 

 

If a shai gets gear, either AP or DP she should grow in power just like any other class!

if you want shai to be like other classes, you should as well ask to strip off her support abilities. maybe shai succession without bubble, bongos, buffs, debuffs and just tune up the boomerang stuff a lot.

Buffing our damage and making us more viable in defending ourselves don't mean our support abilities will be suddenly overpowered, I don't see why those 2 things can't coexist.

 

There's many other classes with arguably worse traits that absolutely dominate every area of the game.

yes it definitely will be overpowered. otherwise if you think your support skills don't do much, give them to all other classes, too. let everyone bongo minutes long with perma ccs in SA, debuff everyone, give huge buffs, bubble and what not.

 

stop asking for wizard 2.0. imo, wizard should also be either stripped off the support abilities, or reduce the damage by a LOT. it's just unfair vs other classes. if your priority is so much about damage, pick a class that does damage.
