All spots taken and someone who is 3-year old vet or has right class will keep spot.

Even if I win duel I dont feel proud or good about myself because im so decently geared and have 2bil pvp tag char. I kill in cc like 95% of time. When you been in both side of duels you start feel empathy and hatred towards this retarded system.

Usually if I lose I just log off and go play another game and I imagine others do same. Probably go afk fishing or something. I actually didnt even realize dfs was causing my inactivity until I saw pattern. But its also not fun waiting turns to just grind 1 spot for 1-hour when nolife sits there 10 hours.

If you want REAL PVP. Make 3v3 RANKED arenas like in wow. Not some bullshit unbalanced, rng 1v1. AND PLEASE MAKE MORE SERVERS AND MORE GRIND AREAS.

AND ESPECIALLY MORE GRIND AREAS WHERE LOOT DROPS FOR 2-5 PLAYERS = More reason to group up.

DFS is NOT an aspect of the game  its an aspect of the mentality of western culture

u can see this by the fact that NA and EU are the only ones who do duel for spot

look at the interveiw with a KR player and they were shocked at the whole DFS mentality

over there they just wait their turn for a grind spot rotation  they dont greif  or guild dec or dfs  they wait their turn cuz someone else was there first... i know  shocking but its true

Don't expect empathy or intelligence from a bunch of online kids.  You simply ask to much ;)

Also remember BDO is designed to weed out the passive and nice people and filter in the toxic crowd.  It's designed for heavy spenders, and no lifers.  There isn't much concern or content for the average gamer.

I wouldn't even call it an aspect of the game. It's a made-up rule that only some people follow. Barging in when someone grinds, asking them for dfs, then oneshotting them, and then actually saying ''gf'' is one of the most absurd things I saw in online videogames.
I had experiences with people telling me to leave their spot because they were grinding there ''for 12 hours already'', which is also absurd.
Play as you like, everyone has an equal right to the game. Don't let some stranger dictate what you should and shouldn't do in an MMO. Pearl Abyss made their game this way, and it's up to them to fix whatever mess they have created, and it's not up to players to come up with some ''rules'' that make 0 sense anyway. They can follow whatever they like, but nobody else has to.

That is the correct answer.  The BDO community needs more support and a smarter player base that tells Pearl Abyss.....

Your game is Defective and it's NOT a MOBA.

They have yet to comprehend this.  I thought for a moment when Elvia was released this might have changed a little.  However, once you obtain the special weapons it goes right back to a grind spot for MAYBE 2 people.

The TRUTH behind DFS, Competing for a spot, Mob Feeding, Karma Bombing, is that neither player is looking FOR PVP.

BOTH PLAYERS ARE ONLY TRYING TO PVE

I've been playing since the game came out and I've probably been asked to DFS less than 10 times, I might sometimes catch myself doing rotations that might make 10-15m less per hour in trash but in the grand scheme of things I rather have that then fight over a spot and lose money in the process. Stars End is really the only place now where it's pretty bad, Elvia is for high GS players anyway so that's expected. Any new spot with new items is gonna be competative.

I have had more than 10 DFS encounters that led to very undesirable outcomes in a single day.  That did occur in Star's End naturally where the majority of players have been farming since Pearl Abyss has done a very poor job of balancing grind locations.

You might say they have done as good of a job balancing grind locations as they have Succ Wizard.

There's plenty of other grind spots outside of SE that make more money and are contested less. I feel like in a spot such as SE it should be weighed on the chance of that happening in whether or not you want to grind there over other places.

Some people are far too short tempered and impatient. It's not that hard to leave others alone. I never interrupt others play session. If I see someone else grinding I simply leave for another spot or change servers. If it's too crowded I switch over to another character and do something else, especially if I have buffs on.  Duels are simply a waste of time. It's especially annoying if you have 5 minutes of buffs left and the impatient one starts to ignore your "5 min left" message. Even worse he starts to kill you.

But I agree. Changing the spots to house more mobs and thus more players might be good start. Oh, and special Hadum Servers separate from the rest might be nice too.

Yeah, um that's complete BS.  Especially, if you refer to every available area prior to Elvia.

There are known areas like Syc, but to pretend these other magical areas just exist is bs.  The reason Star's End has been so packed is that AP items are completely broken and the gear score requirements are minimal.

It's not like all these people magically never figured out all these other great spots they could have been doing, but just couldn't figure it out so they settled on Star's End.
