Why would anyone accept a "DFS" You have nothing to gain if you win, and only something to lose, while your opponent has only something to gain, and losing doesn't effect them. It's not a fair agreement, and I would never participate in something like that.

Like many people in this thread said already, I've always ignored DFS.  In exchagne, I also don't bother people who are already grinding somewhere.

Since I do not grind more than 1 hour a day (when I am playing at all), the upcoming change to allow 1 hour of personal grinding means I won't have to deal with this ever again.

I have brought this up many times before.  I would actually go 1 step further.  Make it so that if you are flagged you can be attacked at a zero karma loss and the flag lasts 10m or until you release while unflagged, add the ability to unflag while dead.  But make it so you can't hit a flagged player that isn't actively aggressive unless you flag yourself.

Basically if someone hits you while you are not flagged they are free to kill with zero karma penalty and you are safe from others attacking you for defending yourself.   However if you flag up and attack another flagged person that has not yet attacked someone else then you will also be flagged for 10m.

You could even make it so that if you haven't hit someone the flag falls off after 60 seconds but if you hit someone the flag takes 600 seconds, if you kill someone the flag takes 6000 seconds to fall off once canceled.  

I love when people state this, without realizing that in KR they just Flag and kill or feed other players to mobs.  They don't give the other player the curteousy of offering them a fair fight.  DFS is more gentlemanly than the ambush tactic employed in other regions.

I am 700GS and I ignore all DFS requests, they can try and take the spot by force but I will do anything to defend my spot. I also find empty rotas and I do not go and bully other playres by asking to DFS.

I am also in a process of leveling a strong 1v1 class which will then allow me to defend my spot even better, I will do a meta build with PVP crystals, addons etc. 

I had someone DFS me at the Behr herbing spot... I was on a lifeskilling shai. Needless to say I told them they could just take the spot and swapped characters. I wasn't that hard up for herb xp. I'm a casual life skiller, last thing I needed was to be demoralized infront of the very plants I collect hah.

Wow how petty of that person IMO.  Sorry you had to deal with that.  They should just have access to lifeskill servers lol.

Not my experience, lol.    DFS isn't courteous.  it's a way to bludgeon lower geared players.

The most cancer aspect of bdo is the grinding mechanic that is the same as it was in Line age 2 20 years ago: "Braindead rotation"

Even the word "grinding" looks wrong when you looking for adventure and fun
