Once again you offer no solution and advocate for a forced toxic gaming experience.  There isn't even any point to discussing the "gentleman's version".  There is no debate over it and it's fully understood.  The ONLY situations being discussed are the ones you yourself deem as toxic.

Another thread appeared again about the racism, spam, and filth being spammed in chat.  That IS the BDO community.  That isn't a single player or small subset.  That is a pretty large amount of the player base.  People that want to just say or act as toxic as possible.

And YOU want to ENABLE them.

YOU want to EMPOWER them.

YOU want to give them the tools to drastically effect other's gaming experience.

You know, you could act more mature and not like a little child.  Want solutions?  Then ask, no need to be a dickweed.  Sheesh.

Let's talk real solutions, shall we?  And not "solutions" using admittedly made-up examples. (cough cough)

1) Disable duel requests.

2) Someone asks for DFS and you don't want to, be a human being and talk to others like they're human beings and communicate.  You never know the personality of people you encounter.

3) Don't grind in main rotations during peak hours.  Take a less contested rotation.

4) Realize main rotations are contested, so DFS is naturally occuring.  Accept the fact there are rotations that many people want, and because of so, the natural tendency towards holding / taking that spot is high.  If you're PVP-averse or low-geared and low-skilled, then go to a lower rotation, because people will try to take the higher rotations from you.

5) Lifeskill if you're afraid of PVP.  Grinding mobs has always entailed the inherent risk of OWPVP encounters, this has been in BDO since day freaking ONE.  So if you don't want to deal with this risk at all, then don't grind mobs, grinding mobs entails "risk" - which is possible OWPVP encounters.  This inherent "risk" contributes to progression.  Progression in BDO = Time (or money, but in essense, time = money too).  PVP takes away time for progress and PVP and PVE, in the context of BDO, are intertwined together in this way.  Everyone who has been playing BDO for years and who are geared now know this very well -- everyone who's geared now has had to deal with their share of OWPVP encounters -- both good spirited PVP and bad.  For example, I was only grinding Sausan's and Pirate's side rotations for a long time, only grouping in the main rotation.  If I solo'd the main rotation and cried because I got PK'd, that's just entitlement.  This is not a solo player, PVE, hub-based monster grinder like Diablo.  It's an Open World PlayerVersusEnvironmentVersusPlayer sandbox-y game --- Since day ONE.

6) If you're being griefed, there is a nifty feature called SWAP SERVER.  Use it.

Players are given a certain amount of agency in how to deal with other people, and this agency, while open to improvement, is a core aspect of what makes an MMORPG, an MMORPG (interacting with others, be it positively or negatively, both should happen and we players should know how to deal with either scenario).

This post of yours is just more slander towards PVP in general.  It disregards the context of BDO, using made-up fallacies, like "BDO is survival of the fittest!" when literally, pure lifeskillers who do zero PVP are able to make a comfortable living here.  I have a 70-ish year old friend who lifeskills and loves BDO, despite not being able to do combat at all.  NoKap.

You just hate BDO and it's been painfully obvious for about half a decade, Vortexii / 2Cents.  Looking forward to your next post rooted in hate of the game and it's community members who do not agree with you.

That is not so easy to deal with on a larger scale.  Especially in higher level zones.  A single player grinding the Elvia area at night with appropriate gear may have problems with confronted with other players trying to mob feed them.  Additionally, it doesn't necessary have to be 1v1.  If several players attempt to mob feed someone in these regions it can be very difficult to defend against.

In addition your opponets can have alternate gear for that specific task.  With no valuable gems and extremely high defenses.  Additionally, when fighting multiple opponents not getting CC'd for many classes is virtually impossible.

So think twice before you think the solution is to just act tough.

None of that changes the bottom line at all. If you wanna fight over a spot, fight over it. If not, fuck off. If you see a white square on your radar, stop pulling mobs.

Excellent suggestion stand around all day in an online EPEEN contest.  Very productive.

PvP has always been about "e-peen" lol, or at least to some degree -- Even in other PvP games. Don't like it? Then go play Barbie Horse game or Animal Crossing.

I thought you said you wanted to talk about real solutions instead of change channels if someone is griefing you.  Or change the entire play style so much you may as well be playing a different game.

Secretly though those are wonderful solutions to mocking opponents.  I love Bombing players out of their grind spot and telling them to CHANGE CHANNELS ROFL.

But lets look at some data from someone that actually plays the game and knows everything.  Guess WHAT!! I already tested it on many occasions and while yes there are some situations where changing channels may allow you to grind or life skill (yeah I bomb them too) many many many times this is absolutely worthless.

Allow an expert to explain how it actually works:

FIRST you DO NOT want to change channels when someone comes into an area you have been grinding.  Community listen up DO NOT DO THIS.  What you would be doing in that case is enabling and rewarding a player for toxic behavior.  Remember they only do it in the first place because they feel it's effective.

I have told people straight out, I will bomb them the entire night and I'm not leaving under any condition.  This has been suprisingly effective as you are announcing to them they won't be easily removing you if they even could.

Your suggestions merely help griefers.  You want to suggest the community bows to them and doesn't stand up to them.

You are an online enabler to toxic children.

Lol then have fun Karma Bombing. Apparently, that's more fun for you, to extract some sort of weak-minded, soft-boi revenge. But it's a sandbox, so if getting this weak-boi revenge by Karma Bombing is more important to you than moving on and progressing, then so be it.

Me, if I'm grinding and a stronger player comes around and PK's me, I'll come back a few times to see if I stand a chance. If I stand a chance, I will defend myself and the spot I claimed. If I do not stand a chance, then I swap servers. To me, my time is valuable, so I'd rather not place power into someone's hands to determine my gameplay -- in other words, toughen up buttercup -- you win some and lose some, the world keeps going around.

I offered REAL solutions. You're just trying to push your PVE only server agenda again. Something which the devs stated goes against their vision if the game -- look to Elvia to confirm this even more. Seasonal and Olivia are there to try to appease the snowflakes. Arsha is there to try to appease the bloodthirsty. Both fail at fully appeasing either side because why? --- BECAUSE BDO IS MEANT TO BE A PVPVE GAME. Let that sink in.

I do think more than twice, and I've always concluded that it's both more fun and more productive to stand my ground.  I've never been fed to mobs since I can fight at very long range.  The people pking me ALWAYS leave before I do.  I don't give in to bullies either in game or irl.  If you call that acting tough, fine.  I don't care.

In the end, your only problem is that you call "toxic" a well-known feature of the game.  Soooo...

For OP, I'd say don't bother with DFS if it annoys you. Some see it as a widely accepted convention but in the end, DFS are regularly not accepted, the result not respected... Do as you wish, as DFS is not an "aspect of the game", it is merely one of the tools.

The thing is though toxicity is a feature in BDO. If you report a player for in-game death threats PA response is "We aim to encourage a PVP comepititve mindset, and see nothing wrong with the messages this user posted in chat." So ya PA encourages toxicity in this game cause that their response to toxicity and it bascially sums up to they see toxicity as a PVP comepititve mindset and that not only is it acceptable behavior but they also encourage it in this game.

An have you experience how most GvG start and end? They start with a DFS and end with a whole guilds insulting each other and calling each other pussies, bitches, and fags. An end result is than whole servers chats being 2 whole guilds shit posting each other in server chat for solid hour or two all because someone either was told no when they asked someone DFS or they lost when the person accepted the DFS.
