Title: Outfit Dye Rework - Previewable in Pearl Shop and Save Outfit Dyes
Family Name:
Lakestar

Region (NA/EU): EU

Suggestion/Comments:
The following are two ideas that can make the dyeing experience easier/better
1) Make It possible to use the dye menu when you are trying outfits in the Pearl store
This will be useful for adventurers for the following reasons :
- Figuring out if the outfit is dyeable in the first place: many adventurers have been fooled by some outfits/accessories that cannot be dyed at all. Off the top of my head, I can cite Black Shudad and certain headpieces. Oftentimes, players will post PSAs on Reddit/Discord to warn that certain outfits aren't dyeable. We should not have to depend on Community Vigilance to prevent buyer's remorse.
- Figuring out which parts of the outfit are dyeable: certain outfits have features that are not dyeable by default, or have parts that are "bundled" with other for the same dye. It is a shame that players cannot foresee this before they buy the outfit in the first place.
- Figuring out how dyes look on the outfit: As a sorc main, I have often been surprised that some outfits do not dye as expected. Take for instance the Dahlia Nocturna Outfit. I bought it because it looked amazing. But when I started dyeing it, I was disappointed: there metallic parts and cloth parts of the dress are"bundled up" together, and the chest cloth part does not show dyes as expected :

As you can see, the cloth part on the right is barely a light gray, despite the metallic part taking on a bright white colour (that I was expecting). I could not have foreseen this before my purchase, and I am just stuck with my disappointment.

2) Make it possible to save an outfit's dye configuration
Honestly, this is just the cherry on the cake. But for people like me who like to change up dyes often, also seeing as you sell Merv's Palettes and Value Packs with this feature, I would like to be able to save an outfit's dye in some sort of library.
- It takes way too much time to completely re-dye an outfit: Especially with the different types of dyes + custom dyes
- It's hard to remember which types of dyes and how you used them on a certain outfit: The feature to save colours helps with this, but unless you took a picture of your dyed outfit beforehand, it's hard to remember every detail (which dye goes where etc)
- It could make it easier to share them with others! Much like the beauty album, it would be great to share dye presets with other adventurers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. All comments/suggestions/debate is welcome.

I ask for this since so long. It sucks that there is a max of 12 dye slots on all costums and that sometime stuff dyes toegther you didnt expect. Had also the same exp with white not beeing white at all on some slots....and that sucks...

It's often the case that dyes apply in very bizarre ways to outfits and that the colors you get are nothing like what they are normally. And they often group stuff together in really weird ways when dyeing, which can make things really weird. And some parts just aren't dyeable even when most of the outfit is. So, yeah, being able to actually see what happens when dyeing an outfit before buying it could have a large impact on how desirable it is to buy an outfit.

Personally, I think that they should be forced to use their own dyeing system when setting up all outfits so that it's guaranteed to work well enough for us to be able to replicate whatever color scheme they picked using the dyes. And if it works that well, then the dyes in general would work far better than they do now.

This idea is great and needed! Fashion is a huge part of the game, previewing dyes before purchasing an outfit would be a huge quality of life change. Some type of outfit saving template system could benefit here too, where you can save pieces of outfits together with the dyes applied. Making it fast and easy to swap between outfit loadouts you created, without having to remember the dyes on each piece! An example being: if you wanted to use the same pair of boots in two seperate outfits, with different color schemes, etc! :D

Oh I had a suggestion about this: instead of the random rng dyes we won't even know what dye/colour it will be when we buy it, let us choose a specific dye like in the Merv's dye window. As in we can test out the dyes similar to using the Merv's palette, see what part gets dyed and what doesn't, which dye looks like what on whatever part we wanna dye, and even customize the dye with change of colour and shade to fit exactly what we want - and then we could buy exactly that one dye/however many we want from that set up, same way we can buy the unlimited dyes in the pearl shop one by one. So kind of like Merv's palette, but without limiting it to a certain amount of time for all dye options and outfits and characters, it'd be to buy a certain dye setting for that outfit, that lasts forever. The prices could be affected by how many you buy at once, if you have a full colour set for the outfit you could get a bundle reduction in price, and a set price for just one dye.

Like this, you could also immediately take the screenshot of the dyes and their descriptions you bought that bdo requires you to have, when an outfit gets edited and you want to get back the already bought dyes that disappeared.
