I only have 120k barters, so can't say I barter more than that streamer, but have not seen any proof that skipping incurs any kind of a penalty. Not sure how you would even test that, by doing every crap special to see if the next is a better one?

lol, "I only have 120k barters" sounds a bit ironic, and oddly enough this particular person does have twice that. For that reason, I was easily swayed to believe them.

If I spent a little time to think about it, it does sound incredibly difficult to test since Special's are RNG. I still do every crap Special, regardless. I feel like I get a proc every 500-600 or so barters and I'm at 7.5k. I don't think they mentioned the quality of Special, just the frequency of occurence.

with Bartering your not going to get rich quick i have done all my Bartering for now am guru 50 222496 barteer to get there at the end only selling 5 mil mats could make 720 mil a day and had a max out ship for Bartering. I know now people just want to make a ship quicker witch they did add patch so you could when i started out it took a very long time to get you ship and max it out now it easyer and still people want it even easyer it what i see in real life no one want to work hard at anything.

I think most people realize quickly that they can't make competitive money with bartering. At the end of the day, you shouldn't, it's a relaxed activity that caters to those who'd rather have the mental challenge over physical key inputs.

There are definitely too many posts on this forum about "Give us more materials for less work". However, most of what I suggest is along the lines of "Allow us more freedom to use what you are giving us in X timeframe". If you can bang out all 4 refreshes in 4 hours after work, you should be able to, and not cater to a specific demographic of people. It's a game at the end of the day, not real life.

It'd be interesting to be able to unlock additional routes after the one unlocked at around 20k.

My Carrack catches barnacles in Velia because killing Centaurs is 5x more proffitable/h. And I'm talking active bartering.

It's additional goals to shoot for after unlocking the 12th route, but Parley is still a limiting factor, no?

Sounds like you enjoy making money in BDO as your gauge for fun? Bartering probably wasn't a good choice for you then.

Fun without profit is not fun, and remember that manos are more expensive than pvmonsters gear.

How are we supposed to develop in life skills if they don't give us a profit comparable to trash from mobs (and I mean raw silver without using the market and 35% tax because trash from mobs is also raw silver without tax).

That's fair and I accept your opinion. Grinding hurts my hands and requires way more focus that gathering. Hunting Lions is comparable income and effort(for me) without ever having to DFS. So I accept the small deficiency as a hunter vs. grinder. My gauge as to what deserves X silver/hr, is key presses/minute. Active bartering requires me press a button once every 10-20 seconds, if even that much.

What do you consider developing as a lifeskiller? Is it Guru 50 or Full Pen Manos, or both? Are you trying for leaderboards? Not trying to zing or "get you", just asking.

I fully agree with the topic, the game is based on life skill and killing mobs so that the players can progress.
But for me, the constant grinding and messing around has become quite monotonous.
but I naively did the carrack because I like the sea content, but I didn't think that I would spend 12 hours a day bartering unnecessarily and by the end of the day I would be able to get max 1 billion from it, whoever grinds and kills the mobs will take out 600m -1 billion in 1 hour 12 I think 6-10 billion in an hour is a bit ridiculous.
At the moment, I feel that shipping and bartering are completely unnecessary until the price of t5-t6 trade items is raised to at least 80-90 million per piece, because personally I only have a problem with this, and I could improve the sea a little better, because every update only affects the land has been affecting the sea for years, but not .
Now I didn't understand what was the point of this barter update that you can trade more than once because the income increased by such a minimal amount that you can't even notice it, I think it was 1 hasty meaningless update.

That's why I left the game because it's so unenjoyable for me.
