It's sad. Let's take awakening first because that spec is, as sad it is, but it's dead. It is unusable in every aspect of the game. In PvE it's too slow, the only good spot that it's somewhat reliable is elvia orcs, nothing more. For high end spots, it lacks forward guards, and overall dps. PvP vise it was never good, but now it's just a joke. In small scale it can be countered by anything as long as the enemy knows how to use a class, it is slow, locked in animation, has half of the awakening skilltree as just useless. Has 1 protected CC with core. Okay let's say we should remain slow, but then we should be a tank, a demage dealer fortress at least, but we are not. The only thing that awakening guardian can do in mass pvp is shift f, shift Q and reset, that's all. As for succession, it completely outshines awakening, but it falls off in endgame PvE compared to other classes. Also, succession might be faster, but it's still not tanky enough to withstand the insane demage that classes have after reboots. Not to mention the fact that out of the 4 current shield classes, we are the only ones that don't get a DP passive AND +dp on q block, and we still don't understand why. We have been nerfed to the ground 2 years ago, we are nowhere near that tanky anymore as we were, but classes do 2-3x more dmg now, and this is just unfair. 

Awakening needs a complete reboot aswell, it's just unusable now, succession need more filler demage, and overall both specs needs more dps, awakening needs the atk speed buff from glorious as a passive, and for the love of god can we get at least +dp on q block like other shield classes?

totally agree with you, actually if someone play awaken guardian and does pvp has to be ready to be insulted from others even before can show something (in AOS as go up a bit of rank  you are insulted even before match starts if using awaken guardian and even if you do well ppl still blame because you using a class/spec banned from everyone). At this point remove awaken guardian from the game because has no sense that who like that spec has to be seen as Plagued.
