Title: Please remove the server notification from Abandoned Monastery boss spawn.
Family Name: Dyler

Region (NA/EU): EU

Suggestion/Comments: Currently, when the boss is preparing to spawn in Abandoned Monastery, it produces a server wide message for everyone. This makes the spot very frustrating to grind as you get a boss spawn that should be exciting, only to have random people run to your location to steal the loot away from you. Removing the server notification or instantly spawning him would ease a lot of frustrations when grinding this spot since the only people who steal the boss are usually people who are extremely high gearscore. It becomes another "Rich gets richer" and doesn't actually promote PvP or community as you are usually outclassed massively and have no chance of fighting back.

Totally agree on this. Just remove the server message. People just come for the boss loot, while you prepared it. Its disgusting and your statement "rich get richer" is true! Hope PA sees this post.

The boss is meant to be contestable and is one of the only worthwhile systems in the game that still promotes conflict, PvP and in fact also community. If you decide to grind Abandoned Monastery both you and your partner are fully aware of the fact that the boss can and often WILL be contested by other people and this is something you have to accept. If you want to secure the guaranteed loot drop for yourself you need to either outdamage everyone else, which means you need as good gear as possible and fully min-max your buffs to burst the boss as hard as you possibly can OR you try and get the support of your friends / community to fend off and flag on people trying to contest the boss. If you are unable to do those things or dont want to engage in this mechanic or simply cannot live with the fact that the boss is designed to be contestable then there is other duo grindspots in the game that you and your partner can go to that dont have this mechanic attached to them. Besides, im fairly sure that Abandoned Monastery is still a fairly worthwhile spot on average if you maximize your droprate while grinding even without ever getting any earring from potentially spawned bosses.

I have seen as many as 4 people turn up to try to take the boss from you. With discords available that pings everyone what channel it spawns on, it really doesn't promote anything but "rich gets richer" situation. This grind spot is for people around the 650-680 gearscore but there is no way you will be able to get the boss kill with that gearscore. And if you are so well geared where you can fight off these high gearscore players, why are you even there? You might as well grind spots where you actually get really good profits like Hexe, Trolls, even centaurs is a better bet than feeling frustrated over getting your loot stolen by players who have nothing better to do but use discord servers to stalk every channel possible to steal them.

Again. It does NOT promote pvp or community. All it does is create frustration. As long as people can use discord to quickly notify everyone about which channel it is spawning on, you might as well don't bother even attacking the boss since if you try to flag up, it can be you and your buddy against 4 or even more others, all 700+ gearscore.

The notification is useful for player-agency in pvp, cause world pvp is kinda meh nowadays unless you are a cringy streamer xD

Anyways, removing the papu vs otter war +/- khan is a better idea than removing dawn's grudge.

We have had multiple entire guilds pull up to bosses that some of our guildies spawned, its a common occurance and its a fairly simple concept if you cant contest the boss against the other people that show up you simply dont get its loot and thats the end of it.

It definitely DOES promote PvP. Im not saying its perfect in the way it currently works or cant be improved. But especially when the spot first came out and got popular it was the source of some of the best organic open world PvP engagements that this game has had in the past years and even to this date it is - dont believe me? check out this KR video from as little as 3 weeks ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jGul_tBMOg

What you are saying simply further proves the feeling of entitlement that some people have. The drops from the boss is not YOUR loot unless you managed to EARN IT by contesting it against everyone else that shows up. YOUR loot are the earrings, resentments and orbs that you drop while grinding - the boss and its loot is not by default yours even if you dropped the orbs that spawned it and that is BY DESIGN.

If you cant manage to contest the bosses and cant live with the fact that other people that CAN contest them from you will get the loot then its in your best interest to go to another grindspot as i have already suggested. Gearscore and the amount of people are part of the game and a natural factor that is present in open world PvP - its not always fair and equalized and thats the way it should be. If you find yourself constantly outnumbered and at a gearscore disadvantage it is on nobody but YOU to organize yourself just as good as the opposition and bring enough people to contest the boss and to get better gear so you can stand a better chance at contesting a boss.

If anything the entire cave area should turn into a auto-flagged PvP zone when the boss is up so people can freely battle it out without the need for karma loss or pre-prepared guildwar declarations. Maybe there should be other determining factors added as to who gets loot and why and the boss should be more durable so it doesnt die in mere seconds if more than a couple people with decent gear show up.

There is more than enough spots in this game without a mechanic like this that you can grind your heart out on 24 hours a day with little to no interaction with other players, dont try to ruin one of the only world PvP promoting mechanics in the game just because YOU personally dont like it.

Totally agree, already made a feedback post for it here https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-us/Forum/ForumTopic/Detail?_topicNo=26423- but this need more attention.

It's so annoying when people just show, kill the boss and leaves, leaving the 2 grinders with nothing left, expect if they were lucky to drop some from the boss.

Removing the server notification would benefit the players more and make Abandoned Monastery a place people would love to grind again, without getting their loot sniped by others.

If you have entire guilds fighting there, not only do you defeat the purpose of getting the loot from the boss, since with that many you probably won't get any loot, but also because of how the spot is designed, they can't even grind there with you. It is too small to actually provide a grindspot for more than 1 group.

It doesn't promote healthy PvP. All it does is allow high-geared players another source of bullying towards lower-geared players and easy money. Nothing stops a 730 gearscore player to come there and get a quick 300 mil for no effort at all while taxing two other players for their efforts. How is this in any way, shape or form a good way of PvPing? Imagine if server notifications happened for Castle Ruins and allowed players to attack the boss (They changed it so players cant anymore) or in Tunkuta. People could station an alt there just to attack the mob just to get some easy loot. It doesn't promote anything but frustration. That's what you are vouching for currently. Entitlement has nothing to do with it, it is simply a matter of statistics. There's a reason this grindspot is overwhelmingly uncontested and due to the fact that this is one of the few duo-grind spots, I feel like this should be changed so that we have more reasons to group up rather than making this spot completely unusable.

As I mentioned earlier. Your statements about "you do not have right to the loot if they can outdamage you" is not a good argument since the problem is the server notification. If people actually had to run over there to check constantly, it would be a way better spot. You can still steal the loot, you can still use your monkey brain to be annoying to other players, but at least you need to work for it. Having a discord bot ping people what channel it spawns on is NOT fair to the grinders. Not only would this promote more community, since people would need to stand at the spot rather than fishing in heidel to tell everyone that a boss has spawned, but it would also make less people go for it. That's why the server notifications should be removed.

And yes. You can grind at other spots. But if you are 2 people you have a very limited amount of grindspots to do together. People who wants to duo-grind with their partners or best friends basically have very little choice and if they don't change the server notification, this spot will remain largely uncontested while bringing more bad than good compared to making it a viable duo grind.
