There is no need to kill mob stealer. First talk with them, tell them you were first on a spot. In most cases they leave. If they don't leave try to outgrind them or feed them to mobs or declare war or change spot or channel. Don't be dumb and kill them and go red. A grindspot it's not worth to go red. Don't let the intruder win. In my opinion the grinder who was first on a spot is never the bad person, it's always the intruder/griefer. And there other types of intruder, the DFS intruder and the playerkiller. Every player has the right to refuse a DFS request. If you accept and you lose, you have to leave. I always refuse DSF. It's not my fault they kill over and over again. I wont leave the spot, because i was first there. I won't leave not even on Arsha. Karma bombing on Arsha sure. ;) It can be so easy, just leave the grinder alone. An here some tips to avoid trouble, check the grind spot before you start. Make sure the spot it's empty before you start. If there is already a player, you can ask how long or look for another spot or change channel. Never annoy the grinder.
As expected, prime karmabomber material. most people are well aware of the fact that feeding people that refuse DFS or grief their grind in some way is the only viable option thanks to the flawed karma system, "not ready for war" guilds aswell as the option to be guildless ALL favoring people like you and even if one would decide to willingly take the karma penalty you can simply tear on the spot over and over again and even if you respawn at safezone you will be back on the rotation in mere seconds.
Personally if I were to come across you while grinding and you refused DFS I would GLADLY feed you to mobs over and over again :)
I would still prefer if there was actual intended and well implemented gameplay mechanics and systems to deal with people like you instead of having to resort to such a weird workaround.
On arsha however you are right. Feel free to run into people over and over again, there are no rules and at least people can constantly farm you without penalties.

You are so delusional. And as i expected an dfs idiot. And according to your guildpage you are a member of griefer guild, those members are killing lifeskillers. How cute :D You guys are one of the core problems. You have no manners, shame on you.
I like that idea where you can activate it and deactivate it kinda like marni's time but the issue is lifeskill also involves skinning birds or whatever. You're not just chopping wood or gathering fish meaning this idea would be more tricky to implement without it being used as a means to circumvent open world PvP in a PvE environment.
Maybe when you toggle it on a few things can happen...
1. You cannot be in a party or platoon
2. You cannot earn combat or skill XP, exception are shai related skills that convert gathering to said XP
3. You cannot engage in PvP combat
4. You cannot harm enemies that are not gatherable for resources
5. There is a CD after turning it on and another CD after turning it off
6. Cannot be used in Arsha
7. Cannot be used during war (Protection status is deactivated automatically during war time, must change server)
8. Cannot be used while in combat (must wait 15 seconds after the last damage inflicted or recieved)
(ldea) 9. Must be enabled in safe zones (Reasoning is that you can't just toggle this when you encounter a red player or whatever. Alternatively there could be a 10 second timer that counts down to activate it?
Have I missed anything?
With your improvements it's not a bad idea. Thanks :)
For the longest time (4+ years) I've been wanting to see changes made to the PvP system.
It never made the least bit of sense that the only place an "Outlaw" Red Player would be punished and sent to jail was in....the desert???
There are jails in Calpheon and Heidel that go unused.
In my opinion, PVP could be drastically improved if they removed the extremely harsh crystal destruction penalty and possibility of gear downgrade for Red Players. If a player goes Red, the only penalty would be that getting killed by another player sends you to jail, regardless of your region and they can work similarly to the way the current one operates with a maze to escape from or by shortening your time mining ore etc.. They can add new jails in each region with little difficulty and development time, and I'd actually get rid of the Valencian jail altogether since it makes zero sense.
I've never played another game before where the weaker player is actually able to bully the stronger one. The Karma system in this game is absurd, but with minor tweaks I think it could be drastically improved.
Personally if I were to come across you while grinding and you refused DFS I would GLADLY feed you to mobs over and over again :)
And then you complain about "Karma Bombing" lol, the way I see, this Karma Bombing thing only seem to happen to PvP players that think like you, I've never been Karma Bombed nor seen to happen to anyone in-game, never, in fact I didn't even knew it was a "problem" until I checked this sub-forum.
Do you realize that PVX hates this idea and will push both sides further apart? My suggestion is to abolish the gear/weapon 'downgrade' and instead introduce a hefty fine with item confiscation (to a point). After that, Red Players can always gain money and get it back - anytime! Not only that, it will encourage red players to avoid life skills, not PVE. But seriously, Life Skills going to grinding (killing mobs, not hunting), as said, the 'band' will automatically deactivate or grey out.
How is that a problem? People who don't want to PvP shouldn't have to PvP, what you and many other suggest are overcomplicated systems, the toggle on the other hand just requeries to implement systems that already exist which are the Seasonal and Arsha Servers, Toggle PvP On, get a ton of Buffs for grinding but accept the risk of other Players attacking you and killing you, Toggle PvP Off and nothing happens except you can't attack nor be attacked by other players.

PVX should stay for the communities sake! That is what they want.

PA do that and pkers will come back as hell and more toxic than ever. It's a NO.

And how's the Toggle I'm suggesting affect the PvX aspect? By definition of being a toggle you can Activate and Deactivate the damn thing and more importantly, you're giving the PvP and PvE players what they want, PvP gets to accept the Risk/Reward mechanic of an Open World PvP, no Karma Penalties, Wolf eats Wolf, etc, etc, and PvE players get to Grind and Lifeskill without the looming threat of some asshole killing their character for shits and giggles.

People who don't want to pvp shouldn't have chosen BDO to begin with.
What you call "overcomplicated" is simply trying the following : to find a interesting set of rules for everyone on a single type of server. We have here an interesting discussion even though I may disagree with some ideas, it's still better than the plain idea that seperating pve and pvx servers would solve anything.
There are already plenty of games with such a division. For once, we have a game with a different objective, yet you want to change it to match all the other games.
That's a obvious lack of imagination, and a small ambition if you want to glorify such bandaid solutions.
