You could not make 100m back then from trash a hour. If you got lucky at pirates you could make 100m if you got red coral earrings.

First of all, I was never going to play any mmo again because it's mostly a waste of time. BDO was supposed to be the last one.

Secondly, when I read that buying a game is not the only expense, I didn't even run it for 2 years. 

Tent, weight, inventory slots, pets, etc. This did not make sense.

Back then, life skills and other in-game activities were comparable to trash profits, and even made more money.

Unfortunately over the years PA has been destroying all these ways and now mob trash is worth 10 times more than any other activity in the game. The problem is that the items have increased in price 100 times.

I used to use items for 80-400m, today they cost 100-200b or even 500b per item.

I didn't kill mobs at all in BDO and still I was able to collect black star tet, tungrad tet, vell heart, and many other items. But collecting 5 or 10b is realistic, 100-200b per item is not.

A good mmo is one where everyone reaches end game in some realistic time. BDO, however, does not guarantee that you will ever achieve anything. This makes playing BDO pointless. If the new player is supposed to be constantly 5 years behind the old one, what's the point of playing for this new player? This is why the game must have a guaranteed enchantment system, even for best items. And that's not all. Imagine that someone starts playing today and would like to become, for example, a guru in horse training or bartering. It is impossible for them. Or: I know people who play since launch (play a lot) and never got Vell or Garmoth heart. It's absurd and ridiculous.

Other example - dream horses. I have dream becuase .... I got it from the box. I currently have 3 because I bought two to try to get a t10 someday. But my friend who has been playing since the premiere said he won't buy it since you can get it. Effect? 43 fails and still no dream. Another player from my guild. He entered Aakman for the first time in his life. 30 minutes and got the part of the compass. I've spent over 50 hours on Aakman and nothing. Again: why play if you get nothing out of it? All of this kills BDO, discourages players and throws them away from the game.

Anyway, things have always been cyclical in BDO : the most lucrative activity may heavily change in a next update, who knows? That's why it's good to be a PvX player, always ready to jump on good opportunities. ;)
