This isn't about bad language and you perfectly know it. The real issue is about sexism, racism, sucide promotion etc not curse words.

You should think for a moment if you're even able to and wonder if such deviant behavior should be tolerated just because the openworld ruleset allows players to pk each other.

Then what you would eventually realize is that what's stupid is your failed logic.

1. I don't think you've ever been to any of the growth servers if you sincerely think that there's not enough inflammatory trolls.

2. The best chat janitors are people directly from the company doing a clean up when the players have violated TOS. By their discretion.

3. That does not excuse an alarmingly big group of people to spit, mock, and say rambunctious bad things in an attempt to upset others. If it's gone for long it falls under harassment no matter what world view you want to have. Also, controlling? It goes against direct TOS. As a player it is my obligation to tell when something goes awry. If PA does not feel the need to do this then I can accept that. I've done my part. I don't think you even grasp the concept of what it means to be controlling or how it even works.

4. If your "jokes" relies on spamming controversial and offensive content for the sake of owning the shrilling snowflakes to block you... that's not even a form of humor. It's a dry attempt of something entirely else that is nowhere near such.

5. Negative PR is what draws fresh blood away from a game. If many newcomers goes into any of these servers to see trolls cycle the same things while simultaneously shitting on them for being new that's not going to make the majority stay. PR does matter. It's not an imminent grave matter but it can be if this continues. Block & Go should not apply for those that purposely violate rules for memes sake. As said above it is a temporary solution to a concurrent problem.

6. You have the power to say anything you want in the world. That's the definition of freedom of speech. Freedom of speech does not mean that you're free of consequences. That goes for in-game as well. Why would there be a TOS otherwise? A lot of people confuse these with censoring or being a control freak. Nobody is restricting you from what you actually want to say. If that was the really the case you and I would've been banned long ago for even having this discussion. I'm not asking for a word to be banned. I am asking people to tone it down with their aforementioned statements/opinions. If that is a revoke of somebody's freedom for following basic rules then... I don't know what to say other than that they've probably never had been told no before. By having a moderator, you can also have discussions where both parties can learn from each other's views as opposed to just having a random shouting match the lols. If that moderator cannot be impartial then they should not work in their fields.

7. People should not have to hop servers just because someone decided to be a continuous dummy. Maybe those dummies should tone it down or be reported. Why don't they hop on another server if they can't have their precious non-consequental trolling? It's always the same justification of free speech by saying "don't like don't read and go somewhere else and leave us alone so we can be terrible to random people to get off stress from IRL cuz game company doesn't care haha" or whatever.

1. That's a strange assumption. Every minmaxing returning player wants to enjoy bonuses. Olvia provides those boosts.

2. No, since they cannot immediately block offenders in question. Chat filters are OK. They need to investigate any claims.

3. It can be excused simply because there are measures to stop seeing them with a click of a button. You have controlling issues for suggesting resources be put into a constant around-the-clock live surveillance. You are obligated to report violations. That's it.

4. We get it. There exists humor you find distasteful.

5. No, poor game design turns new players away. The moment they learn the basic function of chat they will either argue, block and report, or mostly ignore. The vocal minority will come to the forums. Public relations never matters unless you sufficiently crowd out the company with employees who share the same views as you. If that happens, that's fine.

6. I agree. A player blocking an unpleasant player is a consequence. An in-game moderator limits their expression by making them adhere to foreign sociocultural norms. If you want meaningful conversations, I suggest a medium where unpleasant people cannot engage, like friendly guilds who vet members.

Sorry but when you call something stereotypical for suggesting a way to improve a game from a community perspective then you've missed the point of the post entirely. Moving on. These "very small inflammable trolls" continue on with their usual statements on a growth server thinking they can hide behind "free speech of no consequences". Today's topic seems to be centered around screwing minors and woman jokes of beating her until she's traumatized.

1. You pigeonholed the opposition to a simple uncharitable point: let me be terrible.

2. To reiterate: there is nothing impeding you from arguing, blocking, reporting, and ignoring.

3. A lot of guilds vet members to meet specific standards of which you are proposing on the entire chat.

4. If none exists create one dedicated to friendly people.

5. You can adjust the chat window settings to view only guild messages.

6. I think you broke at least one rule for presenting chat logs/screenshots.

NO, you don't want to improve the community, you only to make a safespace for yourself, wihile forcing your ideas to everyone else.

Too much trouble for PA to moderate chat channels consistently.

However, since there are "vote" functions, they can probably add a "downvote" function. If someone gets X number of downvotes at 1 vote per unique person, then that person will be temporarily banned from typing in the channel, with each subsequent ban taking longer.

E.g.

Ban 1 = 1 hour

Ban 2 = 2 hours

...

Ban X = 1 day

I think you're touching on Chat Group not Server Group. There are seven chat groups plus the class specific groups. There is no vote function to upvote/downvote, but there is a like function in chat groups, which grants special titles. I would disagree with a dislike function tied with temporary chat restrictions. It would serve as a conversation stopper. A simple block efficiently handles the situation.

So in other words is the solution is to disable in-game chat and treat an MMORPG as just an RPG. Cool why do we play this game than there much better RPGs out there? Sure you can just block and ignore people that post this idiocy but than there nothing to say the next 10 people can't do it either or the next 100 after them? Am I suppose to be expected to just have everyone in the game blocked because PA refuse to enforce any kinda of rule on what can and can't be said in chat? That just unrealictic expendations for an MMORPG cause this is an MMORPG and not an RPG.

An what happen when I do block them well nothing saying they can't just start griefing me. Using the cloaked man in Velia to track me down 24/7, keep my guild perma decked just to grief me 24/7, feed me to mobs, kill me while I'm afk fishing, tell others I haven't blocked yet to DM the same BS to me. So ya blocking someone doesn't actually magically make the problem go away does it.

It almost as if this magically solution you told people to use just doesn't actually work or solve the problem at it core. As if it just throwning a bandaid on a laceration and your left wondering why it won't stop bleeding.

P.S and yes he did brake forum TOS by displaying the usernames in the chat log but that just you trying to dismiss his post and nothing else.
