in general I agree with you. Sometimes the content of the chat is something that shouldn't exist anywhere. The problem with your suggestion to moderate the chat is that you need people to do that and that those people propably need to be superhumas.

There are several types of chats. There are eight chat groups, that is in comparison a rather small number you need for that. There are serveral server chats, you would need some people for that. The general chat is a local chat, meaning if you are in Calpheon it is one chat, in Stars End it is another chat, in Heidel it is another chat and so on, so you will need more and more people. Either those people work 24/7 or you need at least three persons a day.

How are they supposed to do their work? Reading every message in the chat they are supposed to moderate is only possible if there is only a small number of people chatting. Like mentioned before they need to be superhumans to keep up with the chat.

BDO allows you to report users which abuse the chat. They can ban words but like you said people are just bypassing that. In my opinion they did what they could do or at least your method proposed is not something they can realize.

2. Like I said, you misunderstood. To rephrase: social interaction is not the be-all and end-all of an MMORPG, so treating BDO as an RPG by denying access to chat, BDO continues to be the persistent virtual sandbox world that it essentially is.

So in other words is the solution is to disable in-game chat and treat an MMORPG as just an RPG. Cool why do we play this game than there much better RPGs out there? Sure you can just block and ignore people that post this idiocy but than there nothing to say the next 10 people can't do it either or the next 100 after them? Am I suppose to be expected to just have everyone in the game blocked because PA refuse to enforce any kinda of rule on what can and can't be said in chat? That just unrealictic expendations for an MMORPG cause this is an MMORPG and not an RPG.

An what happen when I do block them well nothing saying they can't just start griefing me. Using the cloaked man in Velia to track me down 24/7, keep my guild perma decked just to grief me 24/7, feed me to mobs, kill me while I'm afk fishing, tell others I haven't blocked yet to DM the same BS to me. So ya blocking someone doesn't actually magically make the problem go away does it.

It almost as if this magically solution you told people to use just doesn't actually work or solve the problem at it core. As if it just throwning a bandaid on a laceration and your left wondering why it won't stop bleeding.

Good day to you as well. I can see how it is a problem. To clarify, I specifically just meant a form of moderation of the server and group chat which is global for each respective server. This is a taxing problem itself for PA as Black Desert Online is huge. To look at General chat and everything else for each cities would be hazardous. I completely agree with your sentiments here.

Moderators are humans just like us. I do think with a little workaround this feature could work in a less draining way. In another game I used to play there was a feature to call them from each servers with a click of a button when things started to go awry in terms of gameplay bugs as well as unsolicited conversations, and misusing them would result in being automatically muted a few times before being banned for wasting their time on purpose. I understand this is a different game, but with so many people cycling the same type of trolling nearly everyday(and especially on growth servers of all places) something must be done. Black Desert is a great MMO. The socialization in those chats can be amazing if the trolls would just halt with their nonsensical hot takes every time there's a conversation on good or bad. That's why I wanted to create a post because I believe the BDO experience would be a lot better for many new users if this is being dealt with accordingly. 

More constructive suggestions related to countering the issue at hand is always appreciated, so it makes me happy to see others speaking up about it as well.

P.S you've adressed nothing. You've cherry picked, dismissed my main point time and time again. And your now trying to justify your cherry picking and dismissing with flawed logic that is "I told you what I think your opinion means and your wrong about your own opinion.
