CAPTURE HORSE MINI GAME not rewarding now

Hi PA.

Thank you for fixing the space bar problem in the horse-capture mini game. It had never been a problem for me but lots of players complained about it for many reasons and you took it in consideration.

But the new system is now too easy to get a horse Tier6 (or Tier7): 1 lump of sugar? Assured to capture?

I'm master in training and I'm not rewarded anymore in capturing despite my level. A new player can get it as easily as me. And not a simple horse but directly a Tier6!

We used to be rewarded after all our efforts for upgrading our training level by capturing more easily than a beginner.

Now, there's no difference between a master and a beginner and in addition, beginners have directly a Tier6. They can't find anymore Tier1 to 5 and grow up their levels gradually, then be able to capture a higher Tier little by little.

This new system is not rewarding anymore the trainers in the game and kind of destroyed the interest of training.

-> I suggest that Tier1 to 5 are implemented back for lower qualifications of training, and that they can be bred as before of course.

The higher your qualification upgrades, the easier you can capture higher Tiers.

This way, it would reward the trainers, the same way cookers are rewarded and can make more recipies at once or the same way fishers can get higher fishes after grading Pro, Artisan, Master and Guru.

The way it is now, it has simply become a game... insipid and empty, with no goal anymore.

Thanks.

I'm at master 10 right now. When I read the patch notes I didn't expect the minigame to be this much easier, but personally I don't really mind it. It was always pretty annoying having to break my spacebar to catch horses. Additionally it might be nice to decrease the amount of time it takes for the minigame to complete depending on your training level. For example something like this:

Training Level Minigame Time
Beginner / Apprentice 10 seconds
Skilled 9 seconds
Professional 8 seconds
Artisan 7 seconds
Master 6 seconds
Guru 5 seconds

EDIT:

Also, making the training level silver collection buff also work on imperial delivery would be nice. Cooking/Alchemy mastery gets more silver from imperial delivery, so why not something similar for training?

EDIT2:

Clarrified my original comment to make it more clear that I'd like the decreased time in addition to the easier minigame, not as a replacement.

Yeah, why not. Interesting idea.

And I don't mind either about the hittings being easier. The problem is they did too much in a row and now they need to do something to keep this lifeskill still rewarding. This patch note makes everything too easy about it now.

Soon they'll allow beginners in fishing to get yellow fishes directly too...

"Horse capture rate +xx.x%" may have become useless, but it's not something that horrible. It's a lot worse that training mastery has no effect on T9s, nor on T10s (and I understand they initially planned to give guru trainers extra tools).

I wouldn't want them to neither add back the T1-through-5. We were capturing and carefully selecting coats to obtain the desired outcome later down the line. But now everything boils down to 3 coats and a lot of rng. I also don't want them to make it even easier for trainers by decreasing the minigame time. It's a pointless perk now.

What I would like, however, would be to replace "Horse capture rate" with something that increases the chances for awakenings and move it from a mastery value to the actual mastery level. Maybe allow the breeding rate to also affect imperial steeds? I don't know.

Also +1 to this. Yes, please!

Well nevermind.

I just wanted this lifeskill to keep being challenging.

But sure, masteries should be reworked to have an influence on T9 and T10 too.

Now, I'm a bit sad and miss the old system because there was a challenge and I never got bored. Now there's zero challenge and I get bored.

Sadly it's an isolated point of view.
