This is the first time i've posted on here but i've only recently started playing the game, about 2 and a half months now, i'm in love with the game like most people are, the combat and visuals are astounding, however the extensive grinding is a bit much which leads to quick burnouts. You have to grind so much for so little gain, and most people do not have 12 hours to grind on a video game. What I am suggesting is that the XP for end game spots be increased and there be a more defined level cap so it gives players more of an opportunity to grind towards an achievement. Also XP rates should increase according to monster AP/DP zones. I think level 80 should be the current cap for now, I really like this idea of a definitive level cap and it will really motivate players to play the game. Most people hit 60 or at most 61 and stop and as for me personally upon hitting 61, ive found it cumbersome to grind to 62 as there isn't really anything to work towards on top of gaining so little xp from grinding mobs. Encourage more group play/dungeons/ matchmaking system, the attoraxion MM system was a great addition and QoL change that makes me want to go back and party up with people because MMOs are meant to be social and allows for new interactions with different people or maybe the same people which could lead to friendships down the line. Overall, I just want to see an increase to XP rates and a more definitive scale for level progression. Super end game spots also along with having the highest XP. % should also yield the highest silver/hr aka Hexe or crypt of resting thoughts. Although I am not an endgame player and I do not think I will be anytime soon as it takes roughly 2.5 trillion silver to do so for those few who are out there I think it would be nice and refreshing change for those players. I full heartedly believe these changes will bring BDO to new heights because I am in love with the game and want nothing more than to see it grow, I love the community, GMs, devs, everyone here is amazing.

Cheers, F

also further note, I wanted to add on leech xp, make it so if the player is not at the required AP/DP they are unable to gain xp from the area. Furthermore  I do not wish to upset anyone with my suggestions but I am passionate that if these changes are implemented it will affect the game positively in the long run.

Thank you,

F

Leveling up after 61 (62 if you want the passive skill) , is pointless. People who are higher levels, do it for flex or simply cuz they grind alot. You're not missing out on anything if you aren't 62+.

Level cap in this game is lvl 100. The current highest reached level in NAEU is 67. Again what for? Leveling up should be a challenge, if you want it that bad, after all, it's grindy game. Rewards for leveling up are more than unworthy the time. So it's really pointless to level up for a further goal. Thus why buff spots that are already good for exping?

People like to achieve uselees things, I do think they have the right to though. It's a game and whatever you do is pointless anyway

don't you get 1ap every odd lvl? lvl63 is like the last lvl, 65 is just too insane rn for non-streamers or non-neets

Depends on class, most melee classes it's every odd level, wizard is 60 63 66, Shai 61 64 67, bunch of others too. 64 you can do in 25 hours of grind, 65 50 hours and 66 100 hours. Also afk training dummy is decent exp too. There are people who almost exclusively used training dummy from 64 to 66

I actively grinded like 3% or so from 65 to 66. Everything else was dummies.

It really isnt that difficult to reach 66 any more, if you just have enough time (and no preference for other afk activities).

While i dont think 65 to 66 is 100 hrs (best I reached was like 0.8%, and that was with a lot of exp buffs and events), it still is achievable if you put your mind to it.

I dont agree with the suggestion of making the highest level capped and easily reachable. Level has been something that people strive for for a long time, its a personal goal, not something of importance overall. Let people have their goals, there is nothing to be gained by changing the system.

What is the max level in BDO?

BDO doesn’t like hard caps and instead opts for soft caps for many of its stats, including levels.

There is no max level in BDO, but leveling becomes progressively harder, especially after level 60 and 62.

The highest level character in BDO in 2022 is level 67. Just going from 66 to 67 took him almost two and a half years of grinding around the clock.

Most players will stop actively trying to level up at 61 or 62, as this is considered a soft cap.

How long does it take to reach the max level in BDO?

As we said above, leveling to 67 will take years of non-stop grinding. But reaching around levels 55-60 can be done in just a few hours or days, depending on your play style and leveling method.

Please when talking about these changes, im trying to speak on behalf of most who probably never make it into forums and the average player. What im saying is okay if the cap is 100 like a user said lets make some readjustments to make it easier to reach said cap. You do not have to agree with my statements but I do know the grind seems less of a pain when the xp bar actually moves. 2 and a half years for 1 level? I can't be the only one who thinks thats absurd, no offense. XP should be adjusted, again I am not trying to speak bad on the lifeskilling aspect of the game which is really good, tons of things to do, however I am not a lifeskiller, I just wish to see the game grow, and I strongly believe this is the way. Hypothetically speaking, lets say the xp was buffed, and an official level cap was introduced, would you not feel refreshed in grinding those spots, and if I was say lvl 66 at the time, me personally I would want to get to the max level especially if there was some type of substantial reward for reaching the cap as opposed to how it is right now, just grinding for 750 gs to do pvp or enchancing or lifeskilling, not trying to speak bad on any of those parts but something else to work towards is nice especially since MMOs are centered around level/gear progression.

Im not saying the cap should be easily reachable, Im not the best at communicating things through text/writing but a cap with xp adjusted would help keep more players invested in the game. I respect your disagreement, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However I took into consideration of what you commented and I just thought of an idea for players that have invested several if not thousands of hours grinding. If the cap was introduced let them be compensated for the hours and get a raw level boost depending on what the max is. Ex. the max introduced is now 200, you are 66 currently and after changes you would be at lets say 150 or 180. Again, I cant stress this enough but try to look at my suggestions from a new player/ casual player perspective.
