Edit: PA fixed. Buyer Beware! The Obsidian Leopard has different text before you use the pet and after. I believe this is intentional to mislead the customers and I'm filing a complaint

As I go through the process of having this resolved I wanted to make sure other people are aware of what I perceive as very Malicious and Evil practice by Pearl Abyss when it comes to the Artic Fox and the Obsidian Leopard.

The TLDR is the text of the Obsidian Leopard completely changes between reviewing the pet in the information window and reviewing the pet in the Pet List once purchased and used. The wording goes from, "Talent: Item Collection Increase" to, "Item Drop Rate +%". 

Because of this misleading wordplay by PA I bought the Obsidian Leopard for it's overpriced amount, assuming it works the same as their other loot increasing items in that one was a increased in Drop Rate, while the other a Item Drop Amount.

This is due to the Item Collection Increase Gauge splitting loot increases into 2 (One being Item Drop Rate and the other being Item Drop Amount). As I have very little faith PA will be honorable in their dealings with customers, I will also be filing this with the BBB in an attempt to have my money refunded me. 

Edit: Incase someone is wondering, it is not about the money. As someone who has at least 2 outfits for each of my 26 characters to include 4 horse outfits, wagon, and boat skins I do not care about $24 dollars. I care about someone who's not in the same financial situation being taken advantage of by this dispicable practice PA has been caught engaging in here.

Edit2: In a effort to ensure transparancy, here is update 2. A GM has reached out to me via Support and informed me PA will resolve this to my satisfaction AND more importantly, the text on the information cards will be corrected to be the same across all 4 versions of the 2 pets. (sorry if this last part was confusing, most precise way to state that I could think of at the moment lol)

It looks like the text is getting fixed! (and I'm jealous of all you that will have T5 loot pets, I just already had a T5 fox loot pet and I can't swap out the T1 obsidan skin for the fox /sigh I will update once final resolution has taken place.

Edit3: PA has refunded me my purchase, glad to see they took the honorable route.

I've bought a lot myself in the game so I won't complain about the money spent in the game. But their payback policy is so thin that - I'm sorry dude - you won't see your money back. As for me, it's not about your money but more about the principle of buying something and being misled.

I wish I'm wrong about your ticket and it will have a positive answer though.

PA isnt held accountable to the Better business bureau. It is in their nature to screw its players over. They chatban people falsely under a catch all rule 8, and then when you appeal it, they respond with whatever they say is final and there will be no further discussion regarding it.

With the purchase however, there is further discussion, take screenshots of the discrepency, take Screenshots of your communications with PA, and then send it off to your creditcard company. Tell the company your bought the pearls with the intention of buying this particular game function only to find out that PA pulled an ol switcheroo on you. You will be refunded and PA must take the pet away from you along with the pearls. If you purchased anything else with the pearls you bought to purchase the pet, you may be SOL on the creditcard refund. Sad that PA wont refund your pearls and this is to be expected of a company where it believes that whatever they say is final and that there will be no further discussion regarding it.

So much this. I had planned on using diplomacy (via BBB) before going nuclear lol. If this fails, I'll be contacting my Credit Card company and showing them all the exchanges with PA regarding this issue. I've already verbally called them and they said it sounded like I am in the right and if I send in the proof they will promptly withdraw the funds from PA and return them to me. But no one likes their hand publicly smacked for misbehaving, so I'm trying to give PA the chance to change.

I mean you could have contacted PA's customer service to try and have the issue resolved first. It was most likely just a typo and not intentionally misleading. Nobody really cares about the BBB and if you cancel the charge from your credit card you're probably going to get your account banned since this is the normal action to take from pretty much all game companies.

Calm down karen, lol... They make typos for mundane things all the time. I bet you if you asked PA nicely they would have refunded you as long as you didn't use any of the other items..

I don't believe much in PA, they're known for "our word is final" and not refund.

I know them for that myself.

But I wish they refund nicely that one. It would be a great improvement in their own commercial policy.

I did, when they initially responded with a, "No our word is final" I proceeded to the next step in conflict resolution in finding a mediator in the form of the BBB to step in and be an unbiased/uninterested third party. Finally, if all all fails I'll go nuclear and have my credit card company rescind the transaction as previously explained. It's how adults resolve differences. Your inappropriate comments here are not needed nor wanted and are clearly ill informed.

Yeah, not the first time.

And they never did refund.

They should have, but they never did.

And they will probably keep that way, even if they're obviously wrong, cause it's their mistake.

But whatever, Pearl Abyss is not known for their fairness...
