As has been stated in the other threads, male characters will never be as profitable as female characters for obvious reasons. The majority of males who play korean mmos enjoy the aesthetic which includes oversexualized females for the most part.

Since they keep releasing mainly female characters it's obvious from the statistics they have that this is what the overwhelming majority of players want. There is extremely little reason for this to change in a korean MMO such as BDO and I hope they stay on the current course. You must understand that Korean games are virtually the last games on the planet which allow for females to be beautiful and sexualized, western games cater to the demented leftist mentality since years so that ship has sailed. Let's "not" try to change that. Can we just let the Korean MMO be a Korean MMO? It's alright to have games which lean mostly into sex-appeal for men. There are very few such games left (compared to the overwhelming majority being like that during the rise of gaming).

I am sure that the next class after the white-haired sister for the Woosa will be a male, so you can breathe easy there as, apparently, you feel strongly about having male classes in the game (?) . Obviously the game can't be an army of female characters with no option to play as male, but in my opinion it's fine for Korean MMOs which have a very particular aesthetic to them to lean towards more "waifus" in the game. Now, of course, if they decide to release a fifth female THAT will definitely be too much and something to kick up a fuss about.

The Tera statement is also nonsensical imo, outfits for Elins were what kept the game from shutting down for years (quite literally). Yes, it's disgusting paedo bait, but it is what it is, so if anything the sexualization kept the game afloat rather than it being a sign of the game dying, even if they did close doors eventually for entirely different reasons.

Also, to the guy who finds playing as aesthetically pleasing females "creepy" - low T issue, consider injections.

You know I use to think that as well up until they created the issue of using Crons obtained from breaking down costumes to progress your gear.

I am willing to bet that there are more costumes purchased now to be broken down as Crons than what people use to dress up their female avatar in BDO.

While I see your point about more costumes selling because the female skin brings in more profit. this isn't a valid reason to keep making female characters anymore over males. I'm basing this on the fact that people are buying more costumes than they ever were just to break them down into Crons for progression saves.

Honestly, most people who preferably play females in games that are guys will drop the reason as they rather look at a female's ass and boobs than a guy's ass for hours on end so there is a argument on said person being sexually driven to play them (Which is creepy to people that don't).

In closing PA just needs to get rid of the gender lock period and be done with it. There is no good reason to keep doing it in 2023.
