I like this idea the most, to strike a balance between people who were early and those who missed it, but are passionate about their class and get it  after x amount of time to show their dedication.

i don't believe it's a good idea as people will just leave character at dummies, or fishing, or whatever afk stuff. 
Works the same if you pick level, anyone can be 62 and 63 is too much.

Just hand them out. Who the fucks cares about what others get? 
i got this because i was there... you cannot have it! you must not have so only i can enjoy it... wtf?! Just give the stuff away and let people enjoy the game how they like. As long as it's not rng, the way you get it is irrelevant. 

i remember loosing the kzarka hat because it was in the mail with no expiration date, then it got one without me seeing, and was gone before i could claim it because i was away. Good job! Give stuff, but take it back!

Absolutely! These items were technically celebrating the birth of the characters—makes sense that we would see them on BDO's anniversary or even on the characters' anniversaries!

I would, but I want to limit the scope of this thread to Character (Pre-)Creation Rewards; however, I do have a "shoutout" post on page 1 where I opportunistically listed some unavailable items, so I can add your Pirate Flag shoutout to that post. :3

In the future, I may make a thread regarding all unavailable items, but for now, I only have the sanity to focus on these items. lol xD

I didn't start to play this game until a year after Nova was released (my main) and missed the really nice Echidna pieces of headgear.

I would love to have a chance to get them now, from whatever method devs and the community find it fair.

Between the end of the season and the upcoming anniversary, I have a lot to say!

First of all, the end of the season means that Maegu's Jade Fox Hairpin joins the list of unavailable Character (Pre-)Creation Rewards. This event incorporated one of my favorite distribution methods for these items—simply log on and claim the item within a fair/generous availability period. For Mageu's creation event, we had almost a month to claim our item (January 18, 2023 (Wed) after maintenance –  February 15, 2023 (Wed) before maintenance)—wow! In the future, I hope that PA continues to release these items like this (and, ofc, gives us a permanent/seasonal/annual way to get them).

Second, the upcoming anniversary makes me hope that PA will bring back these items as a special treat—fingers crossed! Let's bring back 7 Character (Pre-)Creation Rewards for the 7th anniversary? ;3

For reference, the oldest seven are:

(1) Shai's [Event] Peek-a-Boo Black Spirit Cube Earring

(2) Guardian's [Event] Umba

(3) Hashashin's Sandstorm Lamp

(4) Nova's [Nova] Echidna Earring and [Nova] Echidna Tiara

(5) Sage's [Sage] Eyes of the Wise

(6) Corsair's [Corsair] Ocean's Plume and Dream in a Bottle

That's not everything, but that's all we really need. The Papu & Otter Emojis were already brought back last year, and Woosa and Maegu's Character (Pre-)Creation Rewards are from late last year/early this year. This could become an anniversary tradition, and Woosa and Maegu's Character (Pre-)Creation Rewards could join for the 8th annivesary!

Please, PA, let's really put the "7" in the 7th annivesary!

Third and finally, all of these endings and beginnings of new events have me thinking about old events. Remember the Chick Balloon Headband that I mentioned in the OP? The Chick Balloon Headband was from the One Year Anniversary Field Boss Event in 2017. The Chick Balloon Headband was very rare and nearly impossible to obtain—it was from the random chance reward bundles dropped from the event field bosses. There were exactly four spawns on NA and four spawns on EU—and all on one day! Before last year's Terrmian Festival, this was the only time the Chick Balloon Headband was available. Granted, the Chick Balloon Headband isn't a Character (Pre-)Creation Reward, but it is more proof that there is no item "too special" to bring back.

I think it would be a very fitting thing to make these items available through the Pearl Shop every anniversary.
