I would love to buy a Pegasus or transform one of my horses into them, but I hate wings on horses. It just can't get my mind to accept that much fantasy. Especially when it is running on the ground. Every time it fires off the particle sprite of the wings I am jarred into this double take. On one hand it is delightful. On the other hand it is entirely immersion breaking. 

Would it be possible give the horse an item that after consumption it portrays a cloudy effect beneath the feet instead? Like it is running on wisp of clouds? Even if only we can see it?

So you're complaining about "fantasy", yet your proposition of having a horse walking on a CLOUD is just as fantasy if not MORE so than a horse with wings. And all because you hate the idea of a horse with wings, a horse called a Pegasus, which is KNOWN for having wings and flying in mythology, sorry but this is a bad reason. I'm all for more options, but the reasoning behind this is seriously flawed.
