You said that already, any opinion on sea content popularity by chance ?

Real life physics dude is indeed a meme or just a bad troll how can he try to bring them up in a game that has horses traveling faster than most cars and soon even faster on water than any vessel.

Ever since the "currents and wind overhaul" sailing has become slower and more of a chore, according to PA boats should behave the same as a log floating at the ocean's whim, they totally ignore why the ship hulls were shaped the way they are and why sails had different shapes and forms completely forgeting that they could be adjusted to catch the wind from any direction, its beyond silly that instead of adjusting a sail you have to reef them to be able to move on a sailing ship without having the wind hindering it instead of powering it, talk about realisms right? Currents and winds follow no logic whatsoever you can be sailing with the flow and having backwind and still will be slowed you need a 0 in currents to sail without hinderance so the mechanics themsleves are broken.

The idea of making sailing slower to avoid having players filling their barters quickly is beyond stupid there are already alot of locks in place for that such as parley points, barter refresh points, the boat capacity (LT & Slots), the boat stats, the total routes and the distance btwn islands the first 2 being the major ones because they are a hard cap for how much profit you can make a day so having them being hindered by these mechanics is just to waste the players time locking them from doing other activities.

They reworked the boat combat to make it more fun while also making sailing iteself boring af relegating it to an activity mainly done afk.

Look about that sailing , I do more then two year now my Oquilla daily's - Thx to Sailors that sail out with the Big Ships the Carracks so we can join them for or Daily Quests " respect for this Sailing gamers " I having all my items ready for build a Carrack Valor - Only i need the Brilliant Items for I can build my ship ! The system want that you do first +3000 barters before you can start to urn the brilliant items.

If you only can play 3 hrs in a day tell me then when we have or +3000 barters ?! And if I do it in auto sailing 9 from the 10 you still hanging on a rock !!!!! So please let us urn this Brilliant items urn trough a other way !!! And sure i love grinding and killing monsters, so what left in hrs from my day you think ?  I DREAM from a carrack all this years but when I can enjoy from my game ?

PS: I having upgrate my frigate twice so i having a Galleas . Still having Respect for Sailors and Fishers from my site ! The Are Great !

To get some perspective, when sailing got introduced, the only way to level it was doing a single daily at Ratt, meaning it took like a year of doing this every day to get to artisan levels.

And the trip to Ratt took around 40 minutes, 80 minutes total.

Nowadays, all it takes to get the game changer Breezy Sails skill is doing like an hour of easy questing or 2.

Those facts don't prevent users such as PlasticDK to shit talk about this content when they haven't even bothered spending said hour.

I would suggest that it is moderately popular. That being said the game devs could certainly improve all aspects of the sea content starting with the crappy congestion at the wharves. My opinion on the popularity or otherwise of sea content has no bearing on my original comment that it does not need many ships for the wharves to be crowded,  which was the exact meaning of my post. Sadly your propensity to be argumentative overrides your ability to understand what one simple statement means.

I agree, my 165 speed Volante carrack is sitting in the wharf mostly nowadays I got sick of the currents, I doubt I will do anything substantial with it until they change something eventually. Im Artisan 10 sailing, I still need the blue prow but doesnt matter if I had that or not it would still be slow in my opinion I personally dont have all day long to go kill a few sea monsters that I need.

i am artisan 9 sailing with +10 gear carrack and TET lifeskill accessories and i completely agree with him, do you have any arguments other that personal attacks??? clearly not.

maybe its you who should understand physics?? since when a boat move faster with 0 current and 20 positive wind than with 20 positive current and 20 positive wind in real life?? because in game thats exactly what happens maybe all your physical formulas that you only use to attack other dont apply ingame because a game is not the real world??? you should probably go back to you dating simulator and ask that virtual chick to marry you instead?
