CM Trent worked very hard for a long time with the console development team to find an effective way for console players to utilize the Forward Evasion skill for Tamers commonly referred to as W,W. Ultimately the console development team was able to give console Tamer players an effective way to use the Forward Evasion skill, I have outlined the changes that were made below.

I have been playing video games on console for over 20 years, the last 3 years I have spent playing BDO. Switching to PC was a very scary decision for me but I made the decision knowing that almost all games have gamepad support, and switching to a mouse-and-keyboard style of control could be difficult to learn. I have noticed that the PC Gamepad controls are not all the same as they are on console and have made the adjustments necessary to adapt to almost all of them, but the one thing that I cannot adapt to and am requesting to be changed is the W,W skill for Tamer. I am requesting to update the GAMEPAD controls to match the changes that have been made to Tamer on console. I have attached the sections of the patch notes from the console updates where i believe these changes were implemented on console.

[Update] 1/10/22 Character Reboot Patch Note 2
● Fixed an issue where when using the evasion skill with LS↑ + L2 L2/LT LT, the evasion not being continued when L2/LT are continuously held.

[Update] June 22nd, 2022 Patch Notes Part 2:
● Changed entering ↑↑ with your celestial bo staff to now activate Evasion instead of Legendary Beast's Power and switch to your shortsword.
- Entering LT/L2 + B/O***(I BELIEVE THIS IS A TYPO, LEGENDARY BEAST'S POWER IS ACTIVATED WITH LT/L2 + A/X)*** will activate Legendary Beast's Power as before.

[Update] Patch Notes - September 1, 2022 Part 2:
● Fixed an issue where using Evasion while in Awakening (↑+LT+LT / ↑+L2+L2) would not activate in certain situations.

Please understand that i do not want any of these changes for anyone that is NOT using a GAMEPAD, these changes should ONLY be implemented with the "Use Gamepad UI" option turned "on" in the settings.

TL;DR for everyone: PC gamepad controls dont match updated(and better) Console controls.

As long as it won't affect anything else - sure why not. Although, as I remember, updates related to the console improvements has usually messed up something related to tamer movement or cancels, so I'm dreading over that.  

In the 15 March 2023(https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/News/Detail?groupContentNo=5021&countryType=en-US#Tamer) update the transition from awakening to succession by casting Trample after Skyreach was removed. This was a primary stance swap used during pve for players using a gamepad. without the changes listed above in this feedback the only way to change from awakening to pre-awakening after Skyreach is to c-swap, BECAUSE THE W,W DOES NOT FUNCTION AS IT SHOULD. I submitted this feedback over 4 months ago and have not seen any action taken on it. I've sent it to Pearl Abyss GMs and CMs in the game and asked for assistance from multiple discord servers but have not been able to recieve any support for this issue.

BDO Console has had this update for over a year, i wonder when PC will get this gamepad update...

I submitted another Ticket today, maybe PA will notice this issue and how easy it is to fix.

bump, needs fixed forsure, as a console player I can confirm its actually very useful and is the best pre awakened swap once this change is implemented. pc controls are better because you can change the hotkey to whatever you prefer and can instantly cast. console controller shortcut is by far the best option for controller users. skill is essential for kit. make sure it works while evasion is locked too. that was a problem initially for a little while. backwards jump is still not protected so if swords are out must ww or risk death if not willing to waste leaves or gust if the evasion is unlocked. seems redicluious that you dont have an update for something that was solved a year ago atleast. should be an easy fix.
