Red players are so because they've made the decision to kill normal players for their amusement,

and therefore subject to being able to be killed in safe zones due to having low karma

This is the karma mechanic of the game, established for years.

However, recent investigation has shown that when a negative karma'd player is mounted on a guild mount,

they become unattackable; contradicting the previous mechanic of the game.

Now, I didn't have the information or data about why this has become the case before this initial post,

why there was even a contradiction in these mechanics, but I figured those on the other end of things would gladly

provide the information and data I needed to come up with the argument I will have presented to the [GM]'s.

Thanks to the information and data generously provided by @Salty_Scallywag,

I have found that there was an issue with red players being dismounted from their guild/personal mounts

prior in combat zones, and that there was a hotfix to quickly resolve that issue temporarily.

However, that hotfix led to the contradiction we have today: whereas

1) Players with Negative Karma lose the safety and security of normal safe zones, being vulnerable to attacks by other players;

2) Players with Negative Karma are protected in safe zones once mounted on a guild vehicle (due to a previous hotfix).

This contradiction either proves that the initial mechanic needs to be reworked; that the whole world should be safe or hostile;

or that the second mechanic needs some time and resources to be redeveloped and logical, adhereing to the first mechanic.

Now that we have your attention and you have some more time and resources,

I am certain that our developers are more than capable of patching this contradiction in our game system.

I thank you, @Salty_Scallywag and company, once more for providing very useful feedback and information regarding this contradiction.

That's fair, don't know why it seems to have been overlooked.  It's as good of a reason to be fixed as it is for red players to say 'its ok to kill people its apart of the game.' Both are valid points in this case.

I agree, it's an exploit to be able to avoid any punishment for being negative karma when the mechanic is in place for negative karma players to be attackable in safezones by players and Guards. If anything guild mounts should not be able to be built in safezones at all

I agree, lets remove safezones entirely.

I agree.  Making the whole world a PvP zone makes it fair to all players!  It is a shame that red RPers are gatekept constantly by safezone mechanics.

Honestly this is the best solution. By removing safe zones entirely we can fix current safe zone bugs and prevent any future ones before they pop up.

trust me, theres a very good reason for why reds cant be hit on mounts. if you were to reenable that interaction, the force flagging tech would be reenabled. heres a video of how it used to work when reds were targetable on mounts:

https://youtu.be/3t2LrK6eIuU

this interaction is the whole reason they arent attackable on mounts anymore. its better this way.
