I don't give a flying coin to gender lock....I play classes that have good looking outfits, good looking VFX on their skills and how they flow(except zerk...I dont want to play a monkey like looking character which has an idle posture of a neanderthal like animation). Imagine wanting a Lahn male counterpart (and he has a lore title like "Flower of  ..")

Also....let's not forget the fact that Musa vs Maehwa in terms of skills and past updates Musa was always the one getting updates lmao(and it was a male not a female class).

They can't get rid of gender lock because that means loosing more time, assests and money.....they can however make more male classes (if the skills look good I'll play some of them)

I'm sure it's been said already but tldr:  They made female and male class counterparts already.  Ranger:Archer, Witch:Wizard, Ninja:kono etc. list goes on.  I know these classes play differently but from a new player perspective, it's going to look awfully redundant.  Some do not have equivilants but those might possibly be lore locked, like the maegu and woosa thing going on.  But then we get an extremally small group of classes it would work with and at that point it'd just be weird.

Only thing I see happening is they make a new class with its own seperate lore to match up with existing classes. 

1- Lore is made up story, you can make it say whatever you want.

2- PA only convinction is to make money. The moment they get gender choice will open players to play far more class, therefore more $$$ poured into characters. Don't worry, their (so you says) "intention" will be like dinausors : extinct.

3- Please, provide the official PA study for that point. Until you do, it's only your personal judgment having no ground of any sort at all to be considered as "argument". 

4- Until now yes. Things change (see owpvp :))

5- lol ? Oh yeah in pvp you sure only are focused on the opponent class gender. YUP /s

6- So ? because something is / was made is not a sufficient reason to keep do it or not change.

I'm not opposed to removing gender lock however it will only happen years from now when BDO has run out of juice. We will probably have BDO2 by then without gender lock.

Originally, there was only Warrior, Ranger, Sorceress, Berserker & Wizard. So many people wanted a female version of Wiz so they made Witch. Awakening didn't exist, so she had the exact same animations as Wiz when in combat and even idle or running. 

Honestly I don't see why they couldn't do this again for the rest of the classes, but we already know they chose instead to make "counter" classes. Like for Ranger, we have Archer. for Musa, we have Maewha. So we can safely assume they will never get rid of gender lock currently. But in BDO2, most likely this is the first thing they'll fix.

1 - I really don't care.  Gender lock is a developer decision and a decision they're sticking to.  Lore is ONE reason.  They'd have to re-do how lore is done in this game, that includes the cutscenes.  That means more resources (money) used and there's better places to spend that.  Besides, this is a KOREAN game.  Korean games have gender locking, so try crying to Koreans about this for change.  Go protest to them, we're westerners playing an eastern game.  It's like you're going to China and yelling at people for speaking Chinese.

2 - If their primary concern is money (it is money) and removing G.L. would mean more revenue, then why haven't they implemented it yet?  You're literally contradictiing yourself here.  Genius over here, you should apply as PA CEO lol.

3 - It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize removing GL means it'lll cost money, time, and therefore resources to implement.  However, you do need at least 2 braincells who aren't busy fighting for 3rd place.  So, not my problem you can't even see that.

4 - Zero sense.  You're comparing removing GL to PA deciding on making class counterparts?  lmfao.

5 - Animations, sound, visual effects play a role in pvp.  IE: the musa/maewha, caster, shortsword, guantlet comparisons.

6 - Again, go protest in Korea.  Crying on an American forum about a Korean game is pretty stupid.

7 - Sex sells = lonely male nerds playing BDO = gawking at female char models = playing female classes = more revenue.  Tell your 2 remaining braincells to stop fighting for 3rd place already.

Again, I really couldn't give two spits about gender lock.  Leave it, remove it, whatever.  But make it make sense, Mr. Genius level rocket scientist who should take J's job.

9 Male classes

Another male class (bladesman from lands of morning light) confirmed.

It really is not as bad as some people trying to portrait it. 9 choices is not as much as 14 choices but it is good enough diversity if player doesnt want to paly female classes at all.

Funny. All of you complaining about this gender lock and still here, playing the game. There are many things to do or prioritize first e.g class balancing etc. If youre not happy abour this gender lock thing, then this game is not for you.
