Can the Wolf be grabbed in this photo?
The answer is of course yes. Despite the character not even facing the wolf and the ridiculous distance between them, Striker Grab will work at that range. This is due to the wolf being inside the poorly managed hit box. The hit box for Zerker is also extremely large.
It's not at desync in this case. The wolf will teleport into the Strikers Arms and that will essentially be your "state of the art PVP combat". A character simply being in your vincinity then completely disabling your character for the entire fight. Some high quality work! I can see why everyone is so amazed by it.
When you look at the image does that really look like good game design or an appropriate hit box? Keep in mind that Striker can teleport into this grab as well. Aha!! This poster doesn't know what he is talking about....... Striker doesn't have a teleport!!
You see THIS is a teleport
Wizard/Witch use a skill in which they proper forward at a increased rate. During this animation and increased velocity they are in a invcincible state.

The hit boxes on these skills do match visually nor are they appropriate for instant win fights and on skills that ignore all Block, SA, FG.

I have always been a supporter of changing how throws are inflicted in BDO. The current throw meta with RNG resist and desync functions is a total mess.
Throws should only land when a player is already inflicted with a previous CC effect, e.g. stiffness/stun/ knockback/bound/launch etc...
OR
Throws should land after more than 60% of guard stamina is depleted.

Grab is OP . PvP should be about making mistakes and being able to recover after that. When you get grabbed , its almost impossible. They need to make some adjustments to pvp for sure. It's too fast, and sometimes in group fight you die without knowing who killed u and how :O

I would rather see Grabs work more like a traditional CC. Mainly for group combat. Older games where designed with a very different mind set and functionality. They stand the test of time and could be implemented into a more modern combat system like BDO's.
The zerker long duration grab for example. To disable a party healer. Shai/Valk/Witch/Wizard. This would prevent party buffs, heals, etc so the remaining members could be handled properly. Sleeping, Stunning, Snaring, Slowing them in addition to this.
That is the more proper way to use CC's including grabs.
The issue with them landing only when CC'd is that just dumbs down and limits the combat. It essentially forces stun locking opponents into oblivion and 1 combo meta.
Also the picture is disturbing with just how much range grabs have and that there is no casting time or delay. That wolf will just instantly teleport into your hands from that range and direction. You have to iframe out of the location before grabs are used.
You can essentially never respond to grabs, you have to just assume the player is going to use them and not be in the vicinity. This doesn't really matter for Hash/Ninja, but it's not at all feasible for some other classes.
